Sure, Las Vegas is known for its casinos. But just because Sin City has the highest concentration, that doesn’t mean it has a monopoly on gambling. If Vegas isn’t your thing but you still want to hit the slots and be entertained, then seek an alternative at one of these non-Vegas casinos that are getting the most Yahoo searches.

Nothing quite like driving down I-15 at night going through the mountain pass and seeing Primm in the valley below; the equivalent of a shot of caffeine to perk you up.
We stayed in Nipton one night, and I got up at 3:00am to gaze at the stars. I looked up towards the northeast and could see the shining lights of Buffalo Bill’s Casino, almost 50 miles away, LOL.
Just stay away from playing Caravan. That is the Devil’s game!

I worked at Harvey’s (No.11) for 5 years back in the 80’s. I started in slots as a change person and eventually worked up to a 21 and craps dealer. Tahoe is a beautiful place with some of the best scenery in the world. The only month I never saw it snow there was August. And that’s because they told me I wasn’t there the year it snowed in August....I will say that the first time you see ten feet of snow at one time it will bring you up short. But when you see the snow capped mountains reflected in the lake like a mirror, you understand why they call it “God’s Country.”

I admire the craps dealers for having to know the proper pay outs on all potential bets. I get a headache keeping track with the basic bets. LOL!
