Susan Sarandon, the Hollywood actress, has disclosed she had a passionate love affair with David Bowie in the 1980s.
Sarandon, 67, the star of Thelma & Louise, described the singer as "extraordinary" and "worth idolising."

I’m more interested in where, how, when she will reveal that she actually has a brain.
I thought Bowie was AC/DC...
no no it means she was attractive once, right.............ick
I’m guessing you had to shave her back first? Right?
“Thank goodness because if you guys eve find out that I did Rosie ODonnell.....
There is NO statute of limitations for that.
Until she wised up.
I am picturing Bowie singing, “Hell’s Bells.”
I'll never forget the 1979 album "Candy-O". Spooky keyboards, quirky lyrics and of course the creepy yet alluring artwork on the album cover.
I used to blast that cassette tape (or was it 8-track?) through the speakers of my '71 Chrysler Newport as I drove up and down the beach on hot summer nights. The smell of fried clams wafting through the open windows as I idled in front of various clam shacks. Giving girls rides in their bare feet. It was a hot, humid summer and that Cars album brings it all back.
So again, didn't any of the Hollywood girls sleep with him? David Bowie was mostly washed up by that point. He had a few good songs left in him but his Ziggy Stardust phase was already well in the rear view mirror by that point in time.
isnt Ric Ocasek married to Paulina Porizkova?
By the time Bowie and Sarandon hooked up in 1983, she was already a star in her own right and anything but a desperate roadie or groupie or whatever.
Speaking of going downhill, that album was the high-water mark for The Cars. But Bowie came back strong with "Let's Dance," an album that among other things introduced Stevie Ray Vaughan to the world beyond Austin. Bowie also did alright hot-wife-wise.
Missing from this thread is any discussion of Sarandon’s far left politics. I mean I-love-Fidel-Castro Bush-is-Hitler kind of leftwingism. Part of the total picture, IMO.
Only say this ‘cause I’m retired & seems like every other free issue of AARP Magazine clogging my mailbox has her grinning gargoyle face on it.
Jam it, Janet
Hey, we were all desperate back then.
