Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is looking into a tense exchange between a pilot and an air-traffic controller.
According to WSB-TV – Atlanta, the exchange happened Friday when a controller told a pilot his plane was approaching the wrong taxiway.
“Hey, you know what? We’ll taxi out there any way we want unless you tell us to. I don’t like your attitude,” the pilot said.

Ground controls all taxi ways and off-duty runways. If the pilot does not obey their instructions, it is a violation of FAA rules and regulations.

A-hole attitudes from TSA weirdo’s must be affecting pilots and ATC’s.
According to what little we see here, the pilot is complaining that he didn’t receive detailed enough instruction.
Shouldn’t the pilot do what the controller says unless he knows something is wrong?
I recall landing at Eglin and the plane just rolling and rolling and rolling until it got to the terminal. I wondered if that single plane was using the entire runway system while it was on the ground.
BFD. How is this an “extremely tense exchange” as ABC News billed it? Nobody even dropped an F-bomb.
He might have been a dwarf pilot, but he’s certainly not Happy!
All the pilot needs to do is request “progressive taxi instruction”. Then be quiet.

I’m thinking the pilot will be remanded to sensitivity training.
It’s about time the Delta Pilot Union got the pilots’ attitude in line with the rest of the Delta family. He finally sounds like a Delta gate agent.
I was working on a marketing plan to submit to Delta, but for some reason they weren’t too hip on my new campaign, “Delta Hates You.”
You have to listen to the audio, some other pilot chimes in with “Calm Down Captain Happy!”.

The problem is that we are hearing one small snippet of time, and obviously edited. Hard to tell what might have taken place leading up to this and what was edited out. There are also plenty of youtube videos that make the ATC look like an idiot.
Your problem is American Airlines already has that campaign.
