There were hints in the early reports about an abandoned baby who was found on a dirt road in White Cloud, Michigan that there were even more shocking revelations.
On Monday, a little after 10:00 am, Bobby, a black Labrador, pulled his owner, Jeff Kopp, down the road and toward a satellite dish. What Kopp initially thought was a rock or a rabbit was, in fact, a baby girl, evidently about six hours old.
Miraculously, the baby, whose umbilical cord was still attached, had survived her ordeal, thanks to Bobby, Mr. Kopp, his wife, Pam Kopp, and Mr. Kopp’s daughter Catherine Neal.
But it turns out that the baby was abandoned some 30 feet from the property line where the suspected mother, a 14-year-girl who lives with her father, reportedly was watching as neighbors found her daughter. She then approached the scene.
“This was just bizarre to me but she looked at us and she said, ‘You know, I am almost 15 years old and if I ever had a baby, I surely would not do something like that,’” Pam Kopp told television station WZZM-13.
According to Jon Mills of WZZM, the Department of Human Services will ask a judge for emergency custody of the child today. DHS public information manager Bob Wheaton explained, “The mother does have the right to contest any efforts to remove the child. The mother can retain an attorney to do that.”
As of this morning there was no information released either about the investigation or possible charges. Neighbors told Mills that, if needed, they were willing to adopt the baby.
“I hope she is placed in a home that will love her and honor her even if she had an unfortunate beginning,” Pam Kopp told Mills. “And they worry about how the mother is doing at the same time,” Mills added.
Mills also reported that the expectation is that the DHS will first look to “see if there is a suitable relative to raise the baby; if not she may be placed with foster parents who are seeking adoption.”
Sad that a 14 year old had a baby. Good that the infant was found in time to be safe.

Sad when you figure it was not another 14 year old that got her pregnant. More than likely someone over 18.

Who is the father of the baby? If it is an adult he should be in prison.

For a fact they use other agencys to do their dirty work, but Homeland security
has overstepped their boundaries long ago and need to be rubbed out of existence.

Except that in this case it's the State of Michigan's Department of Human Services, not the federal Department of Homeland Security.
