Your cat can haz fun in the sun at what is expected to be a massive meeting of felines and their human counterparts at Dolores Park this Saturday.
Now we could be wrong, but it appears that this is the first time San Franciscans have organized such a cat convergence, better known as First Caturday. Needless to say, if you have cat allergies, this might be a good day to visit those friends you've been meaning to see in the far East Bay.
First Caturday starts at 2 p.m. sharp, and for the following three hours, cats will have free reign of the park dogs, you've been warned. Owners are advised to make sure their felines are leashed and claws are cut, for obvious reasons.
The event is being officially sponsored by Dolores Park, and here's what they have to say about it via Facebook: this is your chance to be part of what may eventually become the largest cat gathering in modern history.
also, our cats will be able to meet and greet and mastermind even more sophisticated uses of our time. We hope the kitties get along with all the dogs, children and local weirdos. As of this morning, 633 cats RSVPd "yes" to the event.
Caturday
not to mention the youngster absolutely HATES other cats more than my feelings for Obunga.
Unless their is a crazy cat lady in the vicinity. Her gamma waves cancels that out.
Our cats are similar. The older cat is quite mellow. Young dog wants up on the bed beside her, perfectly okay. I want to trim her claws, fine if you scratch my ear at the same time. It’s time to get in you carry case to go to the vet, WWIII.
Hopefully everyone made it back after the party. I don’t see any harnesses or leashes. :0
