Four male students at North Carolina State University have developed a prototype for a new nail polish line that changes color when it comes into contact with date rape drugs.
Ankesh Madan, Tasso Von Windheim, Tyler Confrey-Maloney, and Stephan Gray founded Undercover Colors, coined as “the first fashion company working to prevent sexual assault,” The Mary Sue reported.
A woman paints her nails with the polish, and when her nails come into contact with a liquid, the color will change if drugs like Rohypnol, Xanax, or GHB are present.
“In the U.S., 18% of women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime,” the company says on its Facebook page. “That’s almost one out of every five women in our country. We may not know who they are, but these women are not faceless. They are our daughters, they are our girlfriends, and they are our friends.”

I am not sure. My suspicion is that the drug might reduce the victimization of college women (not that it was epidemic anyway); ergo, the feminists won’t have as much to whine about, thus reducing their potential power.
NC State is our most conservative college here....do maybe someone wanted to do some good. A lot of date rape drugs around campuses everywhere.
I’m just grappling with the idea that dozens of sorority girls will be dragging their fingertips through the punch bowl!
The drugs being given to incapacitate people are not just used against women. It has happened on occasion in bars south of the border that men have been given a drug in a drink. Upon awakening, he finds himself tied up and he is forced to let his captors draw money from his debit cards. Sometimes his family must pay a ransom. If he’s lucky, he is eventually released.

A friend of mine accidentally took a drink of a glass of water a man brought to the table- it was intended for the females but they had left. He thought it was water but was a gin drink. He stopped at one sip and went to his hotel room, where he violently vomited and then woke up fours later on the bathroom floor. He swears the man drugged the drinks intended for the women.
Maybe your friend should take up wearing nail polish.
