You may notice something called a California Climate Credit on your electricity bill. This credit is your share of money from a state program that is fighting climate change. It happens automatically in April/May and October/November for most California homeowners and monthly for most California small businesses – and it’s yours to keep.

I know that corporations have to play the political game or face the possible consequences of harmful regulations. In my humble opinion, PG&E goes way out of their way to be "green".

My quandary is whether I should stand on principle and refuse the "free money" from the taxpayers of California or should I just look the other way, shrug, and take the loot?

You should eliminate the issue by moving from CA. Just MHO.

Increase the cost of everything 10%, then give back %1 due to the “savings” of “Green” Energy and watch the sheeple cheer!

This program looks to me like another Leftist stupid.

People are going to simply take this money, and consider it owed to them for the overcharges they rightfully see each months electricity bill, and never think the money being handed to them is their own.

Typical Leftist trick take away the money, and then benevolently give back a little. Masters of illusion.

Take the loot. Giving California money to piss away on some other pie in the sky scheme just exacerbates our problems.

If they are offering you a small portion of the money they coerced from you back, take it while you can. They’ll just spend it on more global warming propaganda, paying utility bills for illegal aliens or some such crap.

That’s why PG&E is referred to as Pacific Graft & Extortion.

These idiot politicians think such schemes are going to affect the climate. What fools.

It’s 90% of the money the company’s customers had to pay the state for ‘carbon permits’.

It is a ‘progressive’ tax- all customers receive the same ‘credit’ (partial payback of the increased cost from the permit fee) yet customers with larger bills pay more of a share of the cost.

It’s incredibly oppressive and damaging. Just take the pittance they’re giving you.

The phrase that really got me was that they were "fighting climate change".

Really? Good luck with that.

How in the hell do you fight climate change? Has the human race become that arrogant?

That is a problem now that global warming has been changed to a change. Never thought of that.

Why not a UFO protection tax? Or a tax to keep unicorns and elves alive? The lunatics are still running the asylum.
