Several media pundits have opined over the last several months that it almost appears that divine intervention is playing a role in the continuing close, come-from-behind victories that Florida State University has achieved this season. If so, would that be a valid reason for the Football Playoff Committee to exclude FSU from the Top Four? After all, Alabama would not want to play America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys, so they SURELY would not want to play God's Team, no?
The system is driven by the chase for television dollars, and academics have been so prostituted that it’s time to sever the link and just have an NFL developmental league.
...if anyone has prostituted the learning environments at modern day universities, I would say it would be the academics themselves, they who are enamored with the concept of censorship to achieve groupthink...
Why all this emotional handwringing when it is already ordained that the SEC team will walk away with the trophy?
...just for the sake of argument, it would be interesting to see how you figure an SEC team is preordained to win the title...no bitterness, no envy, just make your point logically...
That too.
Not picking on tOSU, but Cardale Jones’ famous tweet could be made by 50% of the “student athletes” currently playing big time college football.
...sure, sure...after all, no college kid ever except ‘student athletes’ has ever uttered an irresponsible, off the cuff statement that reflected poorly on him/her...
Simple.
Alabama is the best team of the four in the playoffs.
Simple.
Alabama is the best team of the four in the playoffs.
...ah, so you’re an SEC fan...the tone of your post could be taken to be that of the typical envious and bitter Big Ten fanbase, convinced that ESPN and the ‘media’ favors the SEC above all else...
Just read the paper. OSU is in, TCU and Baylor out.
Why? No championship in the Big 12, which has 10 teams. Big Ten? They have 14 teams.
Horrible system.
Yes, I’m a SEC fan, but I do recognize a good team when I see one.
Bama is NOT my favorite team but I think they are the best.
Discussing the spot on a first down he didn't get.
