Responding to two anonymous complaints, officials in Ohios Sycamore Township said on Tuesday they have ordered Jasen Dixon to take down his display by Friday because it violates local property maintenance codes. Dixon, who manages a haunted attraction in Indiana, faces a $1,000 fine if he does not remove the 10-foot by 10-foot structure he built three weeks ago. He said he made the models for the zombie Mary and three wise men and borrowed props to make the Joseph and Jesus zombie figures PFL

Dixon said many people approve of the display, which is lit by red and green lights. A Facebook page he made for it has attracted 200 likes.

Theres no need to bring in the cops.
Its offensive to his neighbors as it mocks their beliefs.
They should stand outside his house and condemn him for it. See if he can stand the public humiliation.
Imagine if he made a similar display about Mohammed the “Prophet”. Eric Holder himself would call ISIS to rain down violent disapproval for daring to defame their Moon God.
No need to behead anyone though. Just let this guy know in no uncertain way that his snotty little joke wasnt funny.

Well, that is certainly in bad taste and deserving of neighborhood scorn.
HOWEVER...
I think it's a violation of private property rights for an agent of the state to order ANYONE to stop their free exercise of religion on their own property when it does no harm.
"violates local property maintenance codes."
VIOLATES local property maintenance codes????????????
Am I to assume that it is a violation of local maintenance codes for ANY religious displays on private property in that hellhole of a locality???
Will they be ordering everyone with a nativity scene to take theirs down too?

Unless these idiot “officials” have ordered every front yard nativity scene in town removed I’d tell them to go pee up a rope.

Jasen Dixon has just gotten his 15 minutes of fame, and he will forever after have a footnote next to his name in history that says “WEIRDO”. Congratulations Jaden, the Internet has made your name immortal.

What? No Christians around the world burning embassies and killing diplomats? No protests and riots with cars being smashed and windows broken?

No one has a “right” to NOT be offended...yes, Christians are the punching bag around Christmas time.
However, as Christians we should know better than to try and get involved with pigs and idiots.
Getting riled up about this is working exactly as planned. He wanted a reaction and the thinskins gave him one.
Fail.
