I dunno. The news said the cop saw them parked and stopped to question them about a convenience store robbery. Robbing a store and then stopping at a well lit gas station is a strange way to stage an ambush.
In the first place we're not talking about geniuses. Second, if it was an ambush you would think both would be armed.
Really? It seems to me all those wanna-be rappers love to brag about all the people they’ll kill with their Glock.
It might have been a lure. As you said, we’re not talking about geniuses and they might have agreed to ‘take one for the team,’ but it went wrong when the perp died, not lived to end up giving interviews and sermonizing about how the cop was ‘coming at him’ blah blah blah victim is me garbage.
