All those awards shows are nothing but narcissists patting each other on the back.
Yes, that’s what liberals do. They give each other Oscars, Nobel Prizes, Pulitzers, government grants, promotions, tenure, book contracts, museum exhibitions, etc. They control every aspect of our culture.
I watched, and generally enjoyed, it for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, plus the hot babes like Amy Adams. A pretty good show.
God clearly says “13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” We should never be surprised that people love the broad road
So glad I quit watching TV in 2008. What a wasteland.
On the local news they had some snip of an award. It went something like
“This next award goes to a man married to a woman that organized a peace zone in the middle east, spent 5 years working for the U.N. on world peace, and developed non-violent means of intervention in xxxx; the life-time achievment award goes to George Cloony”.
(Of course it was all lefty things she did - but it was still pretty funny compared to being an actor!)
But no cigarette smoking, I would wager.
It was quite a parade.
Although I think the nationality of some of the winners had more bearing on the degree of perversion in the character.
The Nobel Prizes are credible apart from the Peace Prize. The Oscars are mostly credible. Especially the non acting Oscars.
Why not have a show that will have a Christian family with a working dad, a stay at home mom and normal kids. I bet they’ll have a show that has two pedophile dads raising two kids.. the oldest is a crossdressing boy and the other is a gay pteteen who loves his dads. That would be on before the Christian family show.
Part of what made Breaking Bad so special was the character development. One may not like a certain character but the viewer is able to understand the motivations and reasons why a certain character would do a certain thing. An episode and a half in, the character development had barely begun. The transformation of Walter White is quite remarkable by the end. Few characters of any cinematic enterprise have undergone such a makeover. Unfortunate you have stopped watching, you will never experience the change that comes over the viewer as well...
I'm not sure that this is the best they got; but, it is always what Hollywood celebrates. My husband once commented that he thinks that because critics see so many films (or tv shows) during the year, that the really weird ones are the ones that stand out.
I really don't think this show is what most Americans are watching during the week; just the lefties who like things that are "transgressive" no matter how big a piece of garbage it is.
