As if beautiful people don't catch enough breaks, one restaurant in China is also giving free meals to those who rank highest in the looks category, reports the Telegraph.
Customers who want to compete will be evaluated by a panel of local plastic surgeons. The 50 most attractive people each day will pay nothing for their meals.

Reminds me a bit of how bars have done ladies night promotions in which girls get free drinks. It paid off because all the girls there drew in male paying customers.
How can they tell, I thought they all looked alike......sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

it’s their restaurant. if they want to comp someone, it’s their problem.
Who really cares? Let private business run their business how they see fit.

Restaurants can do what ever they like. Long ago, my family had a restaurant in Deadwood, They let “Wild Bill” Hickcok eat for free—as he was the town lawman his presence made sure the lawlessness of the gold rush town didn’t come into their business. Also, it was good to be known as a friend of “Wild Bill”—besides he was “Wild Bill”.
I was at The Sands in Vegas one lunchtime. I met an attractive young woman eating lunch alone, so naturally I asked if I could join her. Turns out she was a “spokesmodel” who worked conventions and trade shows and the like. If she showed up at the poolside bar in a bathing suit they’d comp her for lunch. I looked around and there were a few more like her. So the Sands was paying for eyecandy to hang around.
Hey, it worked, I ate lunch at the pool bar more than once!
On the other hand, when me and my scruffy dusty camo’d pals showed up in the main casino after a day on the range, a Sands employee suggested that we go to a small bar out of the way in the back, for a free beer! They paid us to be out of sight.
