Apple has never been the lowest-common denominator, bargain-rate brand. They make high-end and mid-high-end gear for people who care more about things that work right and are willing to pay for that.
That's the profit motive, done right. Good for Apple.
I just wish I had some of their stock... damn. *sigh*
We now worship phones.
American capitalism at its best!
Love Apple. I bought two I-Phone 6 phones for Christmas. I have to update my MacBook soon as it is 4 years old. A great company. Walmart, Apple and Amazon have done more good for this country than any other in history.
Although i have yet to transition from PC to Mac, I am all in for other Apple devices. I laughed the other day because I was watching streaming through Apple TV, working on my iPad, my iPhone sitting next to me, and my old iPod on the bedside table, which I still use as an alarm. It’s remarkable. I go to sleep using their products and wake up to two devices...for my alarm and then jump online while I am waking up on the iPad. This coming from an Apple skeptic until a few years ago. There are other good products out there, no doubt, but what they have produced is damn good.
All over a stupid cell phone, what is called a smart phone.
In my opinion the bane of society today. There is absolutely no way to calculate how much productive time is pizzed away by workers texting, facegooking, streaming, etc. Go into a restaurant and what is everybody doing, yep cell phones. Our kids cannot read or spell but they can speed type some pervert kind of shorthand on their cell phone.
Heck, teachers can’t teach kids because of cell phones. Parents raise holy hell when schools talk about restricting them at school.
Untold number of people killed and property damaged or destroyed because of drivers texting while driving.
I absolutely hate cell phones.
Yawn.

Not quite up to their high price of 119.1 back in November, but getting pretty close.
My granddaughter went crazy over the new telephoto lens for my iPhone, when she got to try it last night. Totally crazy; she thinks her grandpa is cool! In her very words.
Who says you can't buy cool? I would have loved to have the technology back when I was an aerial photographer for the Navy!
In other news, Microsquish down 9.25% on the day.
A little inflation don’t hurt.
6. Apple, 2013 1Q $13.08 billion
7. Apple, 2012 1Q $13.06 billion
Hmmm.. that looks pretty fishy to me. Who audits their books?
Another observation and comment to all the Apple Fanboys..... Just remember....this type of business is just two bad products away from a 75% correction. And you better hope the IWatch is not a trend.
I like my Ipad and Ipod, but still have to say that much of this run up is emotion rather than sound financial guidance.
Look at the profit margin. For Exxon and Walmart, it’s like 8% and 2.5% respectively; for Apple (AAPL), it is like 58%.
Where are the liberals screaming, too much profit, tax them more???
I’m sure the moonbats think it is racist and unfair for Apple to make all this money when everyone doesn’t have an iPhone.
Anyway to go back further than that say 100 years ago?
Remember when Jimmy Carter railed against “obscene profits” from the oil companies? You won’t hear that about Apple (nor should you), because a) they are cool, and b)Tim Cook is in a protected class.
