However, there has been a shift in the underpinnings of anti-Semitism. Israel has become the collective Jew among the nations, as the late French historian Léon Poliakov said about the new metamorphosis of Jew-hatred. Jacobson was piggy-backing on the eye-popping insight of the Israel psychoanalyst Zvi Rex, who reportedly said: “The Germans will never forgive the Jews for Auschwitz.”...

The ever increasing waves of Islamic immigrants settling Europe's shores have reinforced this spirit that assuages European guilt for the Holocaust by insisting that Jewish provocations are at the root of this hatred. Europe has also adopted the Islamic worldview that blames the Jews (Israelis) for the Holocaust the same way that the Islamist blame Zionists for all the world's problems, or a rapist and murderer blames his victim, or Islamist Charlie Hebdo terrorists blamed cartoons.
Hitler, and other Nazi leaders like Himmler, had an great affinity for Islam. Himmler was even quoted saying that Islam was the perfect religion for soldiers because of it’s emphasis on strength and martyrdom for a cause. The Nazis believed that, because of their shared vision related to Judaism, Islam would assist them in ridding the world of the “evil Jew”.

It has been obvious to me for some time that liberals are attempting to disguise their antisemitism as anti-Zionism.
Bottom line, in my belief and reading, is the Nazis hated Capitalism....which they equated with Jews then Christians.

Hitler’s first attempt to target Jewish owned businesses with a national boycott was a complete failure and was dropped after 1 day. He didn’t mention Jews by name again in a public speech for 4 years.
Instead he railed on about the “bankers” (Jews) and “capitalists” (Jews). Meanwhile his political cronies enacted law after law that would eventually be used to target those “bankers and Capitalists” as a massive unending propaganda was waged in all segments of German society. They even made a movie about the Titanic where greedy Jewish bankers who financed the building of the ship plotted its sinking for insurance money.
Its no accident that the Occupy Wall Street crowd find it so easy to shift to attacking Israel and the Zionists.
what’s interesting, too,
is that when there IS a ‘bad person’ of any other group, say Catholic or Lutheran or Methodist..... most people say he was a bad (or corrupt, or crooked) person or businessman
but
when there is a bad Jew....so many people call him a “crooked Jew”...not just a “crooked person’ or “crooked businessman’
there’s a tremendous problem... right there...the Nazis/IslamoNazis have so defined the vocabulary that the entire Jewish people get blamed for any individual’s misconduct

Interestingly enough, Victor Klemperer is the cousin of Werner Klemperer who played Colonel Klink on Hogan’s Heroes.
Wow! Didn’t know that! One of my fave shows as a kid.
A very accomplished family. Werner Klemperer was the son of renowned conductor Otto Klemperer.
