I'll sum it up as best I can for you, but what is going to happen Thursday is a direct result of Obama hijacking the effort -- essentially, let me just put it to you this way. If Obama gets his way, you're gonna have to get a license for it just like radio and TV stations get licenses, because the Internet is gonna be subject to regulation under Title II like broadcast facilities are. You’re going to pay more for a slower Internet connection

a) Because you won’t be able to afford the higher speed
b) Because anytime someone is monioring you or hooked into the bandwidth its going to slow it down

This is an idiotic statement. It’s simply wrong. The Obama FCC proposal is to bring the Internet under Title II of the Telecommunications act of 1934, which governs so-called “Common Carriers.” Radio and TV station licensing is governed by Title II of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Totally different law. As a long-time broadcaster, Rush has got to know he difference.
