Props to Harrison for finding the safest place possible to crash land in what was certainly a very stressful situation.

I am distraught. This is a tragic event. The 70 year-old victim might not survive.

They’re just not making Ryan PT-22’s anymore.

Yeah, the Hollywood press was quick to point out he avoided damaging homes by landing on the golf course. Frankly, in the same situation I think I would avoid any structures that would assure I would be killed and try to land on a fairway too. I give him props for not hitting any homes but not as a valor prop, a prop for being wise perhaps.

Not really a joking matter. And I gather that Harrison Ford did the best he could in the circumstances.

I’m so glad that I’ve never used Twitter or Facebook.

I've never flown a private plane for several reasons. One is that if I'm ever in a plane crash I want it to be someone *else's* fault.

What’s that saying, “Any landing you walk away from is a good one.”?

Apparently, the engine quit very shortly after take-off. He likely only had seconds to pick a spot to make the wheels hit first. He didn’t quite walk away, but is likely to recover, last I heard.

Best Twitter comment, “Good idea to land on a golf course. There are more doctors there than at the hospital.” 3 doctors were the first on the scene to help. lol

According to Ford’s son, he’s battered but OK.

The Harrison Ford Flight Training Scholarship for flight training for young people is administered by the EAA.

He has been an Oshkosh visitor, many times.
