March 16
The morning of the day going to the hospital for open heart ...
He went into surgery about 830AM and came out about 2 or 3 PM (not sure ... I'm only the grandparent) ..
He had about 15 or twnty tubes and wires and stuff comin' out from under the blanket that isn't shown here ..
They had totally numbed him, put him into a deep sleep and the ventalator did the breathing and the pace maker did the heart beating ... Bryson was clinically alive, but not by his own ability
They had made a four chambered heart out of a two chambered one, repaired holes (I don't know .. they used plural) and made one functioning valve into two ... put his heart back in his chest. glued him up and that's him above about an hour or so after they got him into the cicu
In about 36 hrs, they pulled almost all the meds and electronics off of him, woke him up, left the O2 just in case and here he is after open heart surgery...
So a couple of freaks came to visit ...
/8^)
Bryson's operation was on a Monday, here he is that following Friday or Saturday ...
GOD BLESS MODERN AMERICAN DOCTORS, NURSES AND TECHNOLOGY !!!
So he came home Sunday evening, less than a week since his heart was out and on his chest ...
Sleepin' in his own bed ...
Got himself a MAMAROO ... ( I want one for ME!)
And last week went to visit the Easter Bunnyette (there was a girl inside there ..)
That's it
Bryson needs the colon connected to the new anal opening they inveted about three weeks before the open heart and the colostomy removed ... and then I get to teach him to FReep .... if they let me
here y’go
he might be a bit young to fully appreciate the super heroes
God bless this precious little one.
Thanks for the update. Continued prayers for Bryson.
The only thing I have to add is for anyone who considers medical bills to high, take into account all the years of medical training of the surgeons that went into making Bryson's continued life possible.........
Thanks for the update!
That first photo, the guy already has a pick-up line.
May God continue to bless your little one.I am very happy for y’all.
Wow! What a tough kid! God bless this liitle guy. I fully expect to see him running a marathon in about 20 years.
Continued prayers for Bryson.
Keep the good news on Bryson coming!! You all are still in my prayers.
Nothing like a child going through the wringer and coming out the other end a bit more whole to make my eyes mist up and my heart give an extra beat. God is Good!
God is great....may He continue to watch over Bryson with His healing touch and blessings.
