Today I have finally come to a conclusion that can't be avoided. We "white people" of "privilege" need to change our tactics. We need to look at the circumstances and support those who make a difference.
We need to support the black mom and grandmoms.
Now I want to make clear I'm not saying young black men don't need jobs. I'm not saying that sometimes they don't need a break. But what I am saying is that for too long, black women have been marginalized. They have been ignored - made to feel invisible in the world.
And to a certain extent, they have been relieved of the responsibility of raising children.
We, as a society, need to do our share. We need to do something that will tear at the hearts of all... because it will have some small effect on our cities and towns. We need to decriminalize drugs.
Drugs are the cause of probably 95% of teenage black men being in prison. No one can look me in the face and honestly tell me society is better because of this. It would be far, far better if they were back in their communities and helping take care of their families and offspring.

What we need to do is promote CCLs among the husbands and veterans in black communities.
It will be easier for the good men to take a stand, when they are not helpless against the numbers.

The Black community in this country survive the first generation of “the Great Society” on the backs of church going grandmothers. Unfortunately, we are several generations down the road and neither of those institutions are nearly as strong as they used to be. If Black Americans are confused about their plight all they need to do is look at how the government helped the Native American population.

All predominately black neighborhoods will now only be policed by black police officers. All predominately white neighborhoods will only be policed by white police officers.
No more integrated bullcrap, lets just go all the way and try something that the black groups seem to want! No more blaming those racist white police officers!

I lived next to my maternal grandparents for twenty years as a minority in an AA section of town. When my eight year olds bike was stolen off the porch and my husband went out to retrieve it, the teen grabbed a board from a discarded bureau to hit my husband. My husband told him to make sure his first shot a good one. One of the black mothers came out and said to him, “its okay honey, its alright baby.” Sparing him the humiliation of backing down in front of his friends. These kids are hearing something behind closed doors to make them so hateful toward the white community. Why just the AA group and not Hispanics or Asians? No one has been charged for crimes at Furgeson and likely not in Baltimore either. Is the rest of the country rioting like jackasses because justice has been too slow or suspended? The women are in everyones business and think they know how to run everything best. They get a dumb downed diploma ten or more years late and feel they should be running the country. I applaud this mother but don’t get simple and praise a parent for doing their job. Unmarried and six children, and her son can’t wait until he can loot with his friends. Is that a good parenting? Not in my book.

The black community is pretty much ruined as long as Fathers abandon their children, and as long as single parents are the norm.
I don’t buy your unique theory on why blacks do not do mass school shootings, and lack of being able to stand up to people has long been a problem for the good men in black neighborhoods.
It is a lot easier to walk to the end of your drive to make a statement to some drug dealers, or to speak out at the local 7/11 to some aggressive thugs, when you are armed and in the right, rather than just when you are in the right.
