I need to take my pooch to the vet this morning.

He caught a bat last night. His rabies shot was good for 3 years which will be up in October but the vet says they’re probably effective for as much as 5 years.

Department of Natural Resources...wouldn't remove the gator from a residential area...it is the homeowner association's responsibility. "It's a private-property lake," Goose Creek Police Capt. John Grainger told ABC News today. "Once the public is out of danger, it becomes a homeowner association's issue."

"OK, this HOA meeting will come to order. Will the clerk please read the CC&Rs addressing gator threats?"

So the goobermint - which fights privatizing all the time - now wants to keep their precious jobs while privatizing their responsibilities? Sheesh.

We had a 6 foot gator in our back yard......but it’s been a few years now...
.....we occasionally see smaller ones in the lake behind our house.
The neighbors keep their dogs in the house!

Yawn. Gators come up in my neighborhood occasionally but it’s no big deal. I call them my reptile neighbors down the street. I don’t think that this one is in the city because animal control doesn’t deal with them but knows who to call. One the city approves getting rid of the alligator as a nuisance the people they call arrive quickly and don’t charge as they get a legally caught gator for free. Hunting gators is strictly regulated here meaning rare.

More on the order of a pork loin.
A great Bourbon, Woodford, to compliment the meal!
