There is coming soon a 'big event', one which will for a time throw the US into chaos of unimaginable proportions.

The Rapture of tens of millions of Christians will be a mess to cleanup amongst those left behind to hear the great lie explaining where these folks went/what happened to these disappeared folks.

Could there be something catastrophic before the Rapture? Could be, satan doesn't want humankind to see the reality of the Rapture when it happens. But the rapture of so many believers will throw the infrastructure into such turmoil that a large number will be starving and cannibalizing and lawlessness will reign for a season.

I'm not going to be here following the Rapture, so my preps are for some catastrophe which might arrive before the Rapture.

The frog has been simmering for quite some time. It seems to me that the last constitutional president we had was Grover Cleveland. I believe he may have set a record with the veto pen.

Before I was born, the New Deal was ushered in, and that was it turns out a big event that sent us down a path that has led to/contributed to our financial mess.

During the Clinton administration, the rules on Federal Home loan subsidies were changed so that irresponsible lending practices were actually encouraged. This lend to the difficulty with Fannie and Freddie and contributed further to our dire financial situation.

Before that though, we had the big change with Johnson's war on poverty. The agencies actually went out into the Ozark hills to find as many people as they could to sign up for welfare. It helped create a climate that encouraged unwed mothers. Further destroying morals and helping to create more financial problems.

Don't even want to think about all the crap from Carter and now Obama. I feel like I went to sleep one night and woke up in a bizarre world right in the middle of a war zone, where society makes as much sense as the mad hatter and the queen in Alice In Wonderland.

I have done what I can afford to do, and will continue trying to make sure that I am getting more and more self sufficient and able to weather whatever happens. Something evil our way comes of this I am sure, because we have horrible and irrational enemies, and so many have turned their back on God, in favor of debauchery.

Also, there is no political will to deal effectively with our financial situation nor to oppose Obama’s unconstitutional and damaging policies. We might slowly throw some ice cubes in the pot, and incrementally get back to a constitutional Republic, but I doubt that we can turn back time as quickly as we need to implement changes big enough to prevent disaster.

The only reason we haven't lost reserve currency status, is that so much of the world is worse off than we are - thanks to those socialist policies they have been following for years.

Things in our county and little rural town have not changed much at all. However, I am sure that everyone in the
USA has probably broken the law several times before lunch on a daily basis, and just don't realize it.
So around here they just keep on doing what they've always done, and no one pays much attention. Well that's how I feel tonight anyway. Sorry to be a Debbie downer.
