It’s a funny old world. Environmentalists are dancing with glee after Pope Francis issued a statement calling on every man, woman and child to stand together to tackle the issue of climate change.
The Pope, after all, is the highly influential leader of 1.2 billion Roman Catholics around the world and a man who can bend the ear of any president or prime minister he wants at any time.
Getting him on board the green bandwagon is an undoubted coup for the eco-lobby.
His statement came in the form of an encyclical, a papal letter to bishops usually aimed at ending debate on a theological issue, to be formally published today, and it represents the Pope’s views on the God-given responsibility of humans to act as custodians of the earth.
Not only does he warn of the “unprecedented destruction of the ecosystem” but, in a less than subtle reference to so-called climate change deniers, the Pope argues that “the attitudes that stand in the way of a solution, even among believers, range from negation of the problem, to indifference, to convenient resignation or blind faith in technical solutions.”

No one expects the Climate Change Inquisition. The Church had it wrong backing the earth centered universe and silenced Galileo as a heretic for daring to use real science to prove them wrong. History repeats
He wasn’t doing this to appease the left, he’s doing this because he is a Marxist.
He’d be within his church-expected role to do that if he was making a theological announcement.
I’ve never seen an announcement of this kind though. Previous announcements always had the overtone that we could count on the Lord. This one seems to be asking men to panic.
He's not appeasing the left...he IS the left. And BTW...they love him! He won't denounce homosexuality, promises heaven to atheists, sees no difference between Christians and any pagan religion and hates capitalism. What's not to love, if you're a left wing loon?
The left will have absolute hate for the pope until a pope comes out for gay supremacy, unlimited abortion, free birth control, and burns the bible as a work of fiction. Will it happen? Who knows with this pope.

To declare that men can control weather changes is the epitome of arrogance, even for a Pope. The Sun, and in first instance God are responsible for weather changes.
By the fruits you will know the tree, by their advisers you will know the leaders.
Pope Francis is more radical and dangerous than Obama. As soon as he took power he rescued from the trash bin of History the Marxist liberation theology after was proscribed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Francis called the most radical of its leaders, Leonardo Boff, who was silenced by H.H. Pope John Paul II, as one of his adviser for his encyclical that tries to give moral support to the global warming hoax, but instead Francis destroys his credibility and demeans the respect for the Catholic Church.
Another of Francis’ top advisers is German Prof. John Schellnhuber, a well-known Malthusian and climate radical.
Francis rescued Marxist liberation theology from the trash bin of history, now he wants to exhume Mao’s Cultural Revolution.
In Pope Francis’ call for a “bold cultural revolution” to confront climate change, he is using classic Marxist terms (Mao’s Cultural Revolution and Marxist liberation theology) to promote a political agenda aimed toward the advance of “collectivism, redistribution of wealth, and global government.”

Yup. The environmentalists would absolutely LOVE it if he declared mistreating the environment a sin. What a way to compel compliance with their agenda.
