Both should be charged for assault. She doesnt get to play the victim here.

Agreed.
So, after she moved up next to the bar, she turned and said something to him. What did he do to let her know he was there? Were his hands on her bottom? Was he pushing up against her or touching her? We can’t see that. Did she say something like:
“Hey, get your hands off my butt! Stop touching me!”
That might explain her response. Then, he moves up to her left and pushes into a that space rubbing up against her. Granted, its a bar, but for a woman unwelcome strangers rubbing up against you might cause you to try and defend herself and your personal space, which he definitely invaded. As far as I am concerned he provoked her by what he did.
It would be interesting to hear what she has to say about it.
Possibly, I’m willing to hear both sides. To me it looked like a crowded bar. Everybody is touching something, and if you touch the wrong thing you say excuse me, or I’m sorry.
Reminds me of an old joke:
A crowded hotel bar, people pushing and shoving to get a drink.
A guy accidentally hits a girls breast with his elbow.
She turns and the guy says “I your heart’s as soft as your breast you’ll forgive me”.
To which the girl says “If the rest of your body is as hard as your elbow, I’m in room 312”.
Would we still be having this conversation if she had connected and her fingernail, or jewelery would have caused him permanent eye damage?
...
Would we be having this conversation if she were a guy?
Would we be having this conversation if she were a guy?
We might be but just about both of them getting charged, and the QB gets off because he didn’t swing first.
I don’t think the woman that this thug punched in the face had tried to windmill the thug. What he did was completely uncalled for.
When you’re dealing with bat-chit cray crays, that’s another story. This woman wasn’t acting crazy, or threatening the thugs life.
“Only a handful of people in the world have the opportunity to earn $30, $50, maybe $100 million really for about 5-10 years work, and if I had that staring at me, I wouldnt do anything to endanger that.”
Ah, but you are overlooking the fact that this is another of Obama’s sons...and obviously lacking some things gene pool-wise...
No no you misunderstand me, I’m in no way comparing the two.
I told the story to make the point that we sometimes don’t see the whole story from a surface look.
Also that while it’s never ok to hit or beat someone smaller or weaker, sometimes you’re put in that position.
I have been in the position where instinct took over. My brain went blank.
It happens to some when a fist comes at them. I’ve seen it over and over with 2 guys. First guy swings, and second guy’s reflexes send the punch automatically.
I think we wait to hear the whole story, but fairness in this instance is both get charged with assault.
There might be a few differences between your story and this story that could account for the different/appropriate responses.

Oh I agree 100%. I was just trying to make the point that everyone can lose control. If you swing at someone with a closed fist (and I still think her fist was closed) some peoples reflex is to swing back.
Charge them both with assault. Let them sort it out in court.
You don't know the whole story either..and we are both speculating.
I will throw that line right of yours back at you....
FWIW
That’s right but I don’t remember calling you a smart ass either.
Did you read the long post I sent to Jane Long?
If you did then, I hope you understand why the woman doesn’t automatically get the pass anymore.
3 sides to every story...his, hers , and the truth.
