What started off as a joke with his brother now turned out to be viral experiment for Andrew Hawryluk.
The 23-year old has been eating Chipotle for 153 days in a row and is still dining at the restaurant daily.
The Los Angeles native told his brother that he would commit to eating at the Mexican eatery during the 40 days of Lent. He told Business Insider, "Once the 40 days ended it was so anticlimactic. I decided to see how much longer I could do it."
Hawryluk documented his experiment through his blog, Chipotlife and shared that he spent over $1,567.00 and ate 110,890 calories worth of food. He even has recipts to prove his chicken burrito bowl purchases.
The company became aware of his doings and sent him gift cards for his birthday.
Hawryluk wants to continue and even plans his trips around the experiment.
"I'm going to Vancouver, and they have one," he said. "I want to go to Berlin, but I can't because they don't have a Chipotle."
Another man from Colorado Springs, CO has been consuming the same meal for the past 106 days. Mark Rantal told ABC News, "Every time I hit a milestone it was very easy and convenient to imagine hitting the next. Plus, it's a little ridiculous."
"It's fun. Right now it's convenient and it's a habit, so I don't see a reason [to stop]," Rantal said. "The [one-year] milestone isn't appealing enough to have to put in the effort, but there is a tiny wistful part of me that just thinks, 'Wouldn't it be hilarious to be the guy who ate Chipotle for a year?' But I don't know if I want to be that guy."
There is a very good chance Hawryluk may want to be that guy.
I ate at home for the last three months, saved a lot of money and no one cared. I don’t even care. So what?

I’ve eaten at my home or prepped meals at my home for the past 300 days, saving $2000+ worth of crap food.
Anyone else want to take my challenge??? Because I don’t know anyone else in this state who’s done the same. Probably in this country.

After two bites it is pretty much like an I don’t know what the hell you would call it that you’ll have to eat with a spoon.
I’m surprised the guy didn’t catch an STD eating there as long as he did.
I’m learning to cook wonderful things with an emphasis on grilling. Amazing stuff out there and the Internet allows so much cross-pollination and note comparing. I have an interest in ancient cooking technique and adapting it to the modern world. Nothing wonderful to share yet, but I’m on it! :-)

Anything cooked on a grill is WONDERFUL!
Poorly wrapped burritos filled mostly with rice. Chipotle is so successful because they're selling the cheapest foods in the world (tortillas and rice) for a small fortune.
That guy has to be crapping napalm by now
Ah yes 23... the age when you can go for months eating nothing but burritos that each contain two days worth of the recommended sodium intake and suffer no immediate health side effects.
Get back to us in 10 years..
I’ve eaten breakfast at my house every day for at least six months. (If I excuse myself for vacation days it goes up to about four or five years.)
Costs me about 10% of what this clown spends.
So that works out to $10 a day for chicken, rice and assumingly a drink. Hardly a good value. You could get a decent grilled chicken burrito and a soda for Less than $6 elsewhere.
Grilled pineapple over ice cream! Peel and core pineapple. Slice into rounds. Mix some sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, melt some butter in another bowl. Dip sliced pineapple in the melted butter, then the sugar/cinnamon mix. Then onto the grill. When done to your satisfaction, place pineapple over (or under) a serving of homemade ice cream (I prefer vanilla for the pineapple).
A profit margin second only to a movie theater's popcorn and soda revenue streams.
I have yet to enter one, let alone eat their food.
