Biden and Warren had a meeting today. Something is up.

Since he’s the business genius he should franchise it whereby there would be a separate VP for each state, i.e. Kasich from Ohio, Rubio from Florida, Cruz-Texas, Sarah-Alaska, etc.

Cason: NO, save for Surgeon General.

TED CRUZ: Most definitely V.P.,
Think about his expertise in the Senate, and "Casting a DECIDING VOTE" ;
and what a great choice TED CRUZ is, in the event Trump croaks.

‘I think Oprah would be great. I’d love to have Oprah,’ Trump said in a June appearance on ABC News. ‘I think we’d win easily, actually.’

That sounds like being on the ticket together.

I think he was joking, but reading that, it was like being abruptly waked up from a pleasnat dream.

He’s just having fun throwing out Oprah’s name to deflect, since I don’t think he has any intention of naming a VP any time soon.

The election process has a long way to go, and since both men mentioned here are still in the game, Trump is not going to alienate them by making such an announcement. I do think, however, that they would definitely be in his consideration.

Keeping Cruz in the Senate for now, and available for the inevitable Supreme Court appointment would be a far better fit for his talents and vastly superior for the country. And it’s not just Ginsburg and the libs who will be needing replacements, but the conservative justices as well, just to maintain the present “balance”.

I recall a headline from 1968 that said: “Rockefeller to Run Again: Considers Reagan as [VP] Partner.” Never happened

True, but having a black on the ticket defuses the racist argument that Dems will surely hurl at our white candidates. Also, many independents view Cruz as a religious “nut”.

Cruz really has no impact in the Senate; he is outnumbered some 90-10.

I agree. Ted Cruz would be a Dick Cheney on steroids.

This is designed to show Trump’s bravado, that he’s beyond the GOP primaries and looking ahead of the general election.

Cruz also knows how the wheels turn in Senate & House and can begin restructuring & eliminating the treasonous evil that exists in those “hallowed” halls.

Cruz can also be the Constitutional expert to Trump and help guide him through the steps to return America to a Republic.

Lots of cabinet positions for Carson, Carly and others to begin rebuilding America.

Trump/Cruz

Cruz is the logical choice for VP at this point, but it's still very early in the game. The argument for Cruz is the same argument for why Obama picked Biden--Trump's enemies would know that if Trump were removed for any reason, they'd have to deal with President Cruz. Call it "term life insurance".

People forget that Cruz is still young enough that he could serve 8 years as VP then another 8 as President, and still be of a prime age for a 20+ year SCOTUS appointment. With luck he stands to be on the national scene in many important roles for a long time to come.

Dems are going to hurl racists arguments anyhow, so get the best person for the job on the ticket. Racism is what Dems do and as usual everyone else dances to their tune.

As Vice President, when the vote is 50to 50, or for that matter ... any even tie, TED CRUZ would cast the DECIDING VOTE.

Just imagine having ultra-intelligent, highly respectable people answering to the president. It would be like Christmas. Trump has so many great people to choose from. Ditto for any SCOTUS appointments, and when it comes to SCOTUS I hope and pray the new president (whomever that will finally be) is as conservative as he/she claims to be.
