China's World War II Victory Day parade is approaching, and the Chinese air force is using three types of animal helpers to boost security ahead of the big day, according to an official news website run by the Chinese army.
The unusual trio: falcons, macaques and hunting dogs.
The "three treasures," which have also been enlisted to protect some military sites on a daily basis, will join the protection team for Beijing's Sept. 3 military parade as well as the practice sessions ahead of it, base director Wang Yuejian told the PLA news portal jz.81.cn.
Rumor has it they’re using the falcons and monkeys to clear out any birds along the parade route, so they don’t crap on any of the newly-cleaned tanks (or military commanders).
“Our next superpower”...LOL
Isn’t macaques a racist slur during GOP elections? I may be thinking of a strange Webster’s recent entry.
I thought this parade went off a couple days ago..???
Happened yesterday.
Some weird stuff:
People living nearby were ordered to close their blinds, curtains, etc.
Not nearly as open as previous years.
Also note that the Chinese military contribution to the defeat of Japan was
NEARLY NEGLIGIBLE.
It’s like saying the French Resistance broke the back of Hitler and caused his total downfall.
Some very creative Chinese history is being created, here.
Sounds like a dish I've seen at a Chinese restaurant.
That’s not my dog
Someting wong with the carendar?
