You can finish the meal off with a nice one dollar cigarette.

There are many businesses in NYC that start college graduates out at $15 an hour. This will have a cascading effect on all businesses.

"New York state APPROVES $15 minimum wage for fast-food workers...first time ANY state..."

.... Looks like NY State is about to experience a predictable corresponding rise in Unemployment and inflation. If it wasn't so serious this would be laughable. Unfortunately ... Liberals do not have the capacity to understand the concept Cause and Effect and keep making the same mistakes over and over.

.... By the same token .... the GOPe should know better because they do understand these things but go along with it anyway ... then turn around and complain when they are blamed when the predicted outcome does happen.

Cannot believe the Gov. of NY is happy to admit his State is so FUBAR that residents need $15 per hour to survive

Why just fast food workers? That’s discriminatory.

There will be an improvement in the traffic jams in front our our local Wendy’s. Ditto for the jerks that pull out into traffic from Burger King.

Seriously, at $15 an hour, there won’t be a fast food outlet in the rural county I live in. Not a serious loss (except to the employees) in my opinion.

Us earners need a raise to pay for fast-food food.

Sounds unconstitutional

Government forcing unequal conditions for one job/industry over another?

Meanwhile, New York State has been running commercials in Colorado saying NY was “business friendly”. Yeah. Right.

Cuomo and the rest of these pikers make me sick. These people can’t make it on $15/hour. What’s wrong with $75/hour?

What do you expect out of a Governor who rammed through a law mandating no more than “7 bullets in a clip” because “no one needs 10 bullets to kill a deer!”

Restaurants will cut back on the number of employees...the remaining will work harder.

They will automate some jobs away

They will raise prices while simultaneously imposing a NO TIPS rule... thus patrons pay the same...just no tips to employees

I heart NY ... lol

A hamburger goes up 150 percent. Fries over 5 dollars. As usual NY will become a ghost town of rich and welfare poor. Hopefully NY will install more park benches for the homeless. Middle class is done.

As long as it is a state doing this I have no problem. The Federal minimum is the one that bothers me more.

More people are leaving NY than any other state. This will only accelerate the trend. Cuomo is a pandering loser who better get used to being governor. He will never leave the State.

'Every working man and woman in the state of New York deserves $15 an hour,'

Sounds like a loan shark credit commercial: "Get the credit you deserve"

Also uses another blanket meme that "Every..." is deserving of something whether they are or aren't.

The old joke is fulfilled:

A man was interviewing for a job and the owner of the business decided to give him a chance. As he was standing up to go, the man asked, "What does it pay?" The owner relied, "I'll pay you what you're worth." The man responded, "I can't live on that."

We are there
