You will never guess why the GOP Establishment isn't running ads against Trump
American Thinker ^ | December 2, 2015 | Ed Straker

Remember the "September blitz"? There were rumors that after the summer break, the big money, Chamber of Commerce establishment Republican interests with their Super PACS were going to cut down Donald Trump with millions of dollars of negative ads. With the exception of one ad buy from the Club for Growth, it didn't happen.

The author supposes, that the reason is very simple.

They are afraid to, for the very same reason they don't go after Obama.

He is far too effective at directing attacks back, at those who are opposed to him.

I agree. And I think that is why Trump is completely, what the GOP needs this cycle.

Trump is right, for this job.

The GOPe/RNC is like the guy who get shat on at work who is basically a wimp that comes home at night and beats the wife and dog to feel like a man.

SO in this analogy is Trump the wife, or the dog?

The poser from kenya has been jerking conservative chains for 7 years now.
While the Donald s not really a conservative he will rattle enough liberal chains to cause them heart ache.

The Wife and Dog are conservative voters.

I don’t think Trump is either because as a “wife” he’d be the one braining the wimp RINOs with a frying pan or as the “dog” ripping their throats out. :)

That depends on your definition.

The current batch is more supportive of China, than America.

Is that conservative?

The establishment politicians don’t like someone they can’t partner with and then when a Trump has talent leading and drawing votes from everywhere they don’t know what to do.

I think Trump has the nomination locked up and I hope Cruz is the VP.
All the insiders don’t believe what voters want that Trump reflects will win. That a Hillery (who is running on having a vagina) would destroy a Trump.
I think that is bull and when proved wrong will marginalized for good the GOPe even more forever.

The GOPe fears a Ted Cruz presidency more than Donald Trump ... that’s why Trump wants Ted Cruz at # 2 ...

If the title Republican Party survives this election cycle it will only be because they have fallen faithfully in behind a patriot and leader. Take on Trump or Cruz (as they have been doing) and they are dead to the voters as the utter feckless, sell-outs - the Judas Iscariots - that they are.

When Harry met Sally?

Funniest part of the movie, imho.

See, here we have the old thinking, "Senator Kirk also gets an 'F' from conservativereview.com. If he is defeated, he could be replaced by a Democrat who also would get an 'F' rating.

This is the problem. Support gay marriage, support compromise with ISIS, pick and choose who are your favorite terrorists, advocate wars with Russia, bankrupting the US for the benefit of a few and you should be pushed out the door.

Advanced case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Hmmm...you mean they just bow figured that out?

I knew long ago they were afraid of Trump and Cruz both, that’s why they tried to have the other candidates, then debate moderators do their dirty work. Trump was attacked outright, Cruz simply ignored.

Trump is not afraid to tell it like it is, with no apologies and no backing down, and they hate that. I heard someone put it well yesterday, he’s a leader and a fighter, and cannot be influenced by other people’s money. How do you buy off a guy who has more money than you do?

The GOP is terrified of Trump and Cruz, Cruz because he has already shown them he will stand up to them. As I’ve said repeatedly on this forum, what we can expect to see is the GOP establishment cheat to keep Trump out. I’m not sure what they will try to pull, but they will cheat I’d bet on it. They’ll even hand it to Hillary on a silver platter to keep either of them from taking office.

They don’t like people who can’t or won’t be bought...Cruz could, and he’s shown us he won’t. Trump has more money than most of the people trying...Expect to see some cheating going on. They’ll pull something underhanded unless I’m very badly mistaken.

But why the hell did they force Trump to sign a pledge to support the Republican candidate, if they don’t plan to do the same if that nominee is Trump? What a double standard...and people wonder why I despise politicians...

"If he carries this message into the general election in Ohio, we'll hand this election to Hillary Clinton, and then try to salvage the rest of the ticket," said Matt Borges, chairman of the Republican Party there, where Senator Rob Portman is facing a competitive re-election.

'said Matt Borges, chairman of the Republican Party'... If Borges actually said this he should be fired.

“If he carries this message into the general election in Ohio, we’ll hand this election to Hillary Clinton...”

If Rove and his ilk are afraid to attack Trump because of the follow-up reaction from the consecutive folks...imagine the conservative reaction should they turn and support the HillBilly Campaign.

[The GOPe fears a Ted Cruz presidency more than Donald Trump ... that’s why Trump wants Ted Cruz at # 2 ...]

I don’t believe that for a minute. I have not seen Cruz get a fraction of the scrutiny and gotcha press that Trump has been getting, nor are they saying Cruz has “peaked”.

If you’re taking fire, you’re over the target.

GOPe is BANKING on a Cruz nomination b/c they know he will lose easily to Hillary, and they can continue their crony corruption schemes for the next 4-8 years. Cruz doesnt have carry-over appeal to moderate Dems that are sick of the far left policies and would vote for Trump based on economic reasons.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

I am casting one vote, for Donald J Trump and the down ticket can go to hell.

From the article: But if Trump is nominated, look for them to be the first to secretly fund Hillary's campaign.

That won't matter.

Hillary's got plenty of money...and it won't help her any more than it helped Jeb or Kasich.

Trump is going to beat Hillary to a pulp by saying that she should be in jail, she's low energy, she's often confused (so sayeth Huma).
