Sanity wins: School tosses principal’s ban on Santa, Pledge of Allegiance

Sanity — and Santa — have been restored at a Brooklyn public elementary school where St. Nick was banned, the Pledge of Allegiance was dropped and Thanksgiving was replaced with a “harvest festival.”

The good news arrived at PS 169 in Sunset Park on Monday morning, a day after The Post exposed the bizarre PC extremism of Principal Eujin Jaela Kim.

I figured she would wilt in resolve once Fox & Friends began bashing her on national TV. I know Principal Kim is livid at the rebellion and parental noncompliance. The parents and school administrators need to look in the mirror and ask why did it take “a No Santa Policy” for people to speak up and obtain actual change? The fact that the pledge of alliegence has not been said all school year is a telling disgrace, unless this is supposed to be an up front Socialist Style school, like some those in Berkeley, Ca.

My father was Bed-Sty guy and I was born in Gerritson Beach. Family roots go back to County Kerry.
My first thought when reading this story was the same as yours. I also questioned where the MEN were in this neighborhood.

I saw that too and thought the same thing. Winter celebration? How about Christmas. They are making some concessions to avoid a full-scale rebellion and the sheeple go along with it. I have no doubt that Eujin Kim will end up with a more lucrative job and more money to boot. This will not hurt her career prospects.
