Ever since I PCS’d to Fort LivingRoom, I haven’t had a fitness test.

Back when I was in the active U.S. Army (my whole stretch of service), we used to joke that the real acronym for the national guard (NG), meant No Gos.

I have my doubts. He should have been kicked out anyway due to not taking the fitness tests. I bet the enlisted don't have the same consideration or even the junior ranking officers. This guy is a travesty to the military. In fact, I am rather disgusted this lard is still in. He got extreme preferential treatment because he is a General. BS......kick him out with a BCD.......he disobeyed a lawful order. I am really pissed off about this......I had Sailors get kicked out of the service for not meeting standards and were not given this opportunity. In fact, Christmas Day he should be given his discharge, BCD and loss of all pay and allowances.....No Retirement, only 90 days of medical, no dental, no shopping at the PX or Exchange and Commissary, No VA benefits, no government job. UGH. This story is making me see red. I hate this guy so much..........”General privilege”......makes me want to spit in his face. Repulsive individual. Leader my a$$$$$$!!!!!!!! Meanwhile the E-3 is getting kicked to the curb with nothing. This General should be in Leavenworth for the rest of his pathetic life. What a disgrace to the military, the United States of America and the United States Flag. Plus he doesn't give a care about God either since he is a cheater. Nope.....I am not applauding this goon for passing his test today. BS and nobody here should either. Who does he think he is? Scoundrel is his name.........Oh this guy has me going off. I better stop before I blow a top or something. Just remember Friends who think this guy is so great....many E-1’s have just been given their walking papers with nothing in hand for the same this this wretched creep is doing. I am about to go off. I better stop before I really get pissed off. This just angers me so much. You guys may not understand how important it is to take your Physical Fitness Test twice a year and if some lowly ranked person did this they would be up on charges for Unauthorized Absence and not being at the appointed place. Yes the lawful order is written down but he seems to think he is above all that. Do you guys see that at all? I am just really ticked. I just am getting madder and madder so I better stop. UGH!!!!!!!

Makes me remember my second tour.
They were kicking out all these bodybuilders with hardly an ounce of fat anywhere.
Now older and more jaded, I suspect that the military had already (ahead of civilian physicians) figured out how to diagnose anorexia in males. They typically don’t turn into stick people like females but the damage to their system is similar.
They look great right up until they keel over dead. Mass discharges were cheaper than fixing the problem. What seemed to be insanity then seems likely to have been indifference now.

One of the main movements among college liberals is currently the “fat-acceptance” movement, or so my son tells me. It would not surprise me at all to see that Chrispy Creme and the Pentagon raised the standards to something like 500 lbs to pander to the college Left.

I went out shopping for pants today and now I’m depressed. My waste size is up to 40”. Last year I lost 25 pounds by watching what I ate and riding a bike. It’s about to happen again. Being fat sucks.
I used to just be an old man. Now I’m an old fat man.

The real Air Force Brig. Gen. Michael Cunniff is inside of that guy on the right in the photo.
Chris Christie could drop a few pounds too.

I got through the Navy's JFKs OK, but when running the "Long Mile" as a trainee in the MDPD Police Academy, I wanted to drop out often on the two laps required. I concentrated on the back of the leader in my column, and kept running wobbly. I passed several acquaintances barfing on the sidelines, but I kept going until I couldn't go on any further. I pulled off to the left so those behind me wouldn't get tripped up. Not only was there nobody behind us (two), but the trainee I was following turned out to be a University of Miami running back!
I thought he looked fit. :P

I ran the remedial PT program for a couple of years ... never had a failure after the “six weeks remedial program”! Whether you were a Major, NG, private, NCO or whatever ... Mon - Fri 5 am & 6 pm, Sunday morning at 5 am, and suggested that participants have taxi money if they could not make the return from the 5 mile run (2.5 miles each way).

That BG is one sorry-assed excuse for an officer. Fails to meet his own low standards. Obviously forgot “Lead by Example”. I wonder how many troops in his food chain were busted for failure to report or meet standards.
Bet he just squeaked by on body fat (much less height & weight), and only made minimums on PT score.
As an over-50 USAR LTC, I made it a point to exceed the max pushup & sit up scores on the 27-31 scale (toughest scoring). Having injured a knee, I also routinely passed 20-somethings, and completed my 2.5-mile walk before they finished their 2 mile run.
Was always amazed at how many could/would not use the entire 2 minutes spoofed for pushups & sit ups, settling for bare minimums.
