For most pro-lifers, the answer to when human life is worthy of protection is clear: at the moment of conception.
But some pro-choice protesters at the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday gave answers that either do not hold up to any introspection, or are hardly answers at all.
Protesters from both sides gathered in front of the U.S. Supreme Court building for oral arguments in a potential landmark abortion case, Whole Womans Health v. Hellerstedt. The case involves a Texas law that protects womens health and welfare by requiring abortion clinics to meet the kinds of medical and safety standards that legitimate medical centers meet.It has been credited with saving 10,000 babies lives.
The Blaze asked some of the pro-abortion protesters Wednesday when human life begins and published their answers in a new video here:
Keep up with the latest pro-life news and information on Twitter.
Some of the answers are bizarre. One woman says human life begins when there are electrical brain impulses that can be detected. Another said abortion should be legal as long as its a fetus. Others give non-answers.
Their answers are not backed up by scientific facts. This LifeNews article cites 41 medical textbooks that say life begins at conception.

How sad what our society has become.
Morgana,
God love you and bless you for all the work you do.
You keep the truth of abortion in the news each day with your daily updates.
Thank you!
Abortion is first and foremost about convenience.
I wonder how she would feel if she were told they hadn't been able to detect any electrical brain impulses in hers?
I know some pro-lifers who were at SCOTUS that day. The anti-Life crowd bussed in about 500 paid agitators who proceeded to yell, scream and physically assault the pro-lifers who were there. It was far from a peaceful discourse. They know they are losing and are becoming unhinged. The mental disorder of liberalism is taking its toll.
Perhaps it is, in part, about convenience. I think it is about the love of death both individually and collectively.
I should be shocked when I see and hear the ignorance that’s out there. But I’ve been beyond shocked for some time.
I ask them what physical act creates life after conception?
They do not have an answer because there is none.
Conception creates life.
I agree. Murder is always convenient. Particularly when the victim can’t fight back.
Facts are stubborn things. They never change. Fact: a human being’s life begins at conception. Fact: abortion is the intentional killing of an unborn human being. As the late Democratic Senator Moynihan once said, Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts. Even a Dem gets it right sometimes.
I fully and unequivocally support a woman’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and to each and every protection afforded to anyone under the Constitution. Women should and do absolutely have the right to choose to conceive or not, but that decision comes before conception - when you make the decision to have unprotected sex. That decision should always be made with absolute seriousness, in marriage or outside of marriage.
Everyone in society, everyone, should expect to be held accountable for their actions. Decisions and actions have consequences. I grew up knowing and expecting that if I were to get someone pregnant, my life would change forever because of the choice I made. Women should have the same expectation. It’s not gender specific, and is not sexist. It’s life.
As a side note to this discussion, please consider the following.
The state sovereignty-ignoring, pro-abortion activist justices that decided Roe v. Wade against the states wrongy ignored the following. They ignored that the Founding States had made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the Constitutions silence on issues like when life begins means that it’s automatically up to the states, not the federal government, to decide for themselves when life begins.
As a side note to this side note, consider that the drafters of the 14th Amendment had defined citizenship (not necessarily natural born citizen) to begin at birth for those born under USA jurisdiction.
I wonder how these answers will hold up in front of God’s Great White Throne? What will that day be like?
In the case of a liberal, I don’t think human life ever begins.
They are born and ever remain flat lined on the brain scan.
Thus, you should be able to abort them at any time after conception or birth, preferably before they reach voting age of 18.
There was some article today (can’t find the link) about a woman whose 3-year-old toddler told a stranger she was hungry and asked for a beer — the child (dirty, neglected, malnourished) was taken to Child Protective Services. Mother was likely a substance abuser. But look at the comments following the article: the story was in Texas, and people were chiming in to complain that this happened in a state which was seeking to restrict access to abortion, and that the child should have been killed.
Amazing, huh?
So very sad.
With the pro-abortion side making such brilliant arguments no wonder the pro-life side is winning the argument. We must work to make abortion unthinkable as an option.
“I think it is about the love of death both individually and collectively.”
I disagree. You’re making something real simple complicated.
It’s really not that profound. 99.99% who have abortions don’t want to have the inconvenience of a child, and by dehumanizing him/her as just a fetus or a clump of cells relieves them on any guilt.
They are denying what they know to be true to justify abortion. Just saw a little angel who was 4 months premature and is doing well now. A normal little kid, and very human.
Abortionists deny human nature.
I go a step further, kind of. If the sperm is alive, and the egg is alive, then life is a cycle and ends only with death. The new DNA is allowable in court to prove innocence or guilt. A new human is created at conception but life is ongoing.
