Death by gun

Posted on 03/09/2016 12:45:55 PM PST by GTM01

I listened to the Democratic Debate. Hillary Clinton claimed that 90 people are killed by guns every day. I assume she is talking about people in this country. (or are we looking at what the definition of is is) That’s amazing. 90 x 365 = 32,850. Can anybody break down who is doing all this killing: Felons, Gang Members, Illegals, Terrorists, Police, Military, White, Black, Hispanic.

The FBI.gov web site has full statistics on all of it. They report the total number of “Gun-Related” deaths to inflate crime and their trying to paint it as a access to guns issue thus crime when the greater majority are suicide.

What this indicates to a Clinton Fund manager is to buy more stock in ammunition manufacturers.

The number is correct (33,636 in 2013) and 2/3 (21,175 in 2013) are suicides.

It would be interesting to have it broken out into race; how many black shootings, how many mussie shootings and how many white shooting deaths.

Nobody is killed by a gun.

People kill people with many things, including guns.

Statistics matter.

Children are over 20x more likely to die in the family swimming pool than by gunfire.

Except in Chicago, of course.

Baraq Obama is the number 1 gun salesman in US history, so far...

But will be beaten by the new SCOTUS member that flips the SC to interpret the 2nd amendment as only national guard can own guns.

The majority of gun deaths in the US are suicides...Japan and S. Korea have much higher suicide rates than the US, and guns are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get in those places. If someone wants to deep-six himself, he'll do it whether guns are plentiful or illegal.

Either way, doesn't matter. The right outlined in the 2A is guaranteed and exists outside of and regardless of it's perceived or real public impact.

Looks like we are looking at “Firearm related deaths”. It is misleading to equate these numbers with the atrocities of Sandy Hook, etc., and then insinuate if we had more gun control or no guns at all these mass shootings would not happen. Although what else is new?

A few quotes from
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/02/liberal-media-gun-grabbers-ignore-latest-cdc-report-doesnt-fit-narrative/

“Firearm related deaths totaled 33,636 in 2013. Of those, 21,175 were suicide, 505 were accidental discharges, and 11,208 were assault related (homicide). There were 516 “legal intervention” deaths, but the report does not specify how many those were firearm related.”

“Not even the CDC considers “gun violence” to be its own category’

“31,240 people died in accidental falls. You are more likely to die by slipping on ice than you are by someone shooting you.”

Unfortunately, a fellow I know just added himself to those statistics last week.

Nobody has a clue as to why

If the worst happens and Prez Hillary Sanders appoints screaming liberals to the SCOTUS, not only will gun sales skyrocket even higher from the day (s)he announces the selections, but a nation may begin to rise in groundswell revolt.

The government will look in alarm at surging ammo sales, sales of military looking semiautos, and CWP issuances and decide that the masses really don’t know what’s good for them, and act.

But...what if every armed govag goes online and sees his name, address, and house photo listed?

Hillary Sanders may then think it’s 1918 Russia all over again and that the newly empowered revolutionaries are facing armed resistance from “reactionaries”. Could get interesting from that point.

If I was a younger guy, I’d be looking to set up a facility to manufacture AR-15s. I think between the date of the POTUS election and the eventual SCOTUS decision, a guy could get pretty rich.
