Police say at least five people, including a CBS News Reporter were arrested. A Chicago police spokesman said Illinois State Police arrested CBS's Sopan Deb.  CBS said "In the midst of reporting on this event, CBS News' Sopan Deb was detained by law enforcement."

...

MSNBC's Chris Matthews said to Trump during a live phone conversation, "You should have been able to predict this."

CNN commentator David Gergen said this could be the most important moment of this campaign so far.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow said, "This didn't come out of nowhere." "This is mobs of people being spurred to violence by the person in the front of the room in front of the microphone."

-Fox News' John Roberts reported live outside the venue where the rally was to have been held. Roberts was surrounded by chanting protestors holding F___ Trump signs that briefly made it on the air.

...

Trump told Fox News Friday night, “I don’t use hate speech.” He added, “There’s tremendous division in our country. I’ve seen it, I’m watching it, I’ve been witness to it, and something has to be done.”

...

The New York Daily News predictably put the blame directly on Trump:

Media Journalists are misery ghouls and instigators - most always to promote their own interests, usually involving fame and money.

All of you don’t remember what it was like during the Vietnam War. The Left staged aggressive and sometimes violent protests and even engaged in terrorist acts to get the enemy to win.

The media was complicit in calling it an “anti war” movement but all the wanted was for our country to fail, not peace as such.

Same bunch, same methods.

The Agitprop is busy. A combination of passive/aggressive methodology. When they refuse to respect others by their aggressive anti social methods and are removed then they cry most foul and you are the nazi and fascist and violent. Aided and abetted by an all too willing media.

I wonder if Soros flew in his protest trainers, some donuts and coffee along with masseuses and hookers for this event? I’d say probably.

In the last month of the 1968 the Democrats made an end run to blunt the influence of third party candidate George Wallace who was polling at 21 percent and drawing in large numbers of white voters beyond the South.

One way they did it was to have union bosses strong arm workers against Wallace and Alabama’s right-to-work laws, the other was use of the long haired hippie anti-war protestors to disrupt Wallace rallies.

This created a news narrative of ‘violence at Wallace rally’.

Wallace’s support was cut back to 14 percent, but Nixon beat Humphrey in Illinois to put him over the top because a lot of the white Democrats in riot torn Chicago stuck with Wallace.

Looks like Obama’s People (Sons he never had?) did not take Obama’s advice he gave when running to President back in 2008.

Yes.

Because they are so insulated in their bubble, they fail to realize that passion is not something you turn on and off like a light switch. They think that they can pour gasoline on a fire and then extinguish the fire on a moment's notice once (aa they see it) the fire has brought enough discredit to Trump that their tut-tutterry causes all "right thinking people" to draw their skirts away from Trump while loudly clutching their pearls. "Not our kind, dear."

They also fail to realize that Trump supporters are the most intelligent and informed political fan base out there, (sorry Barack! step aside, Ted) and see through the machinations.

Rachel Madcow: “This is mobs of people being spurred to violence by the person in the front of the room in front of the microphone.”

She (it) makes a very good point (but not the one she intended).

She (it) is tacitly saying that these mobs can’t help it. They can’t avoid rioting if you say something they don’t like. She is ascribing to them the reflexive instincts we usually associate with animals. She is saying they are not civilized enough to behave in a civilized manner.

I mostly agree with her, although she is too dumb to realize she was saying it.

I wonder how much money Soros paid to his rent-a-mob “protesters”.

Through “deniable sources”, of course....

The planned and organized protest was reported in Chicago news media for a days prior to yesterday.

Trump Protesters Plan UIC Rally Takeover: ‘Strength Will Lie in Numbers’
By Stephanie Lulay | March 7, 2016 2:59pm

U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez and other Latino leaders will protest Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump rally at UIC Pavilion on Friday. Thousands have RSVPed to a protest on Facebook.

CHICAGO — Last week, Donald Trump said he was looking forward to his Friday rally in Chicago. But he may not get the warmest welcome if protesters have their way.

Following news of his rally last week, protesters started mobilizing. First, a Facebook event popped up and immediately had thousands of RSVPs. Organizers told those opposed to the GOP presidential frontrunner to show up at the UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave., Friday and not only protest outside — but snag tickets and get inside.

In other cities, protesters have encountered violence at Trump rallies. But Chicago organizers hope a massive turnout will prevent this from happening:

Trump has been known to provoke and encourage violence towards protesters in the past. Past protests have seen individuals be spit on, kicked, hit, shoved, and assaulted in various other ways. With that being said, our strength will lie both in our numbers and our ability to show these Trump supporters a higher class of behavior. We do not condone and will condemn any physical contact with supporters attending the rally; please keep your hands and items to yourself. Our goal must be to show the attendees the empathy, acceptance, and love that we strive to see in the world. Keep any signs and chants aimed at Trump and his campaign, instead of individual supporters.

As of Monday morning, nearly 8,000 people vowed to show up to the event (though Facebook RSVPs for such events are typically higher than actual turnout). The stadium can hold up to 10,000 people, depending on how its configured, according to the UIC Pavilion website.

But a petition to cancel the rally altogether has even more support: 42,626 people have asked the University of Illinois at Chicago and the director of the Pavilion to cancel the event.

“Donald Trump is running on a platform of hate and dangerous intolerance,” petitioner Jorge Mena Robles wrote. “It has no place in Chicago but especially not at an institution of higher learning.”

Doug Ibendahl, an attorney and editor of Republican News Watch, said Trump has been breaking attendance records at venues across the nation, and he expects the candidate’s appearance at UIC Friday to be no different.

While some Trump haters plan to register for the event and not show up, because there are no reserve seats, Ibendahl said they are “wasting their time.”

“You gotta get there early. Thousands of people [won’t be able] to get in,” he said, whether they registered or not. “Protesters get in at every rally. If someone wants to demonstrate, they can certainly do that.”

Representatives from Trump’s campaign did not answer questions about admission to Friday’s rally Monday.

On Monday, a number of Latino politicians including U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D), Ald. George Cardenas (12th), Ald. Raymond Lopez (15th), and Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36th) said they will stand among the protesters Friday outside of the UIC Pavilion.

Words do have consequences. For months now we have seen a foaming and frothing at the mouth attacks by scores of neo-con artists and their open borders toadies against Trump. They routinely compare him to Hitler, and his supporters to Nazis and brownshirts, and screaming “racist” at every turn. Glenn Beck, a neo-con artist and open borders toady has been doing this for months. Essentially, the neo-con artists have joined forces with their ideological soulmates on the democrat side, and it’s not just the Sanders wing, because the entire democrat party is extreme left.

The media have been more than glad to parrot the neo-con artist “big lie” technique to such a degree that Joseph Goebbels would be very proud indeed.
