Lie! Cruz convinced the senate to support Roberts in that letter. You know that.

I could not believe how brilliant he was

Maybe brilliant, but also weak. I’ve seen this combo many times before.

Amazing how hard the UniParty Establishment is attacking Trump and no one else.

John Roberts should be a quick confirm. By Ted Cruz

Judge Roberts is brilliant.

Judge Roberts is a lawyers’ lawyer. And that matters immensely, especially for the U.S. Supreme Court.

As an individual, John Roberts is undoubtedly a principled conservative, as is the president who appointed him.

But, as a jurist, Judge Roberts’s approach will be that of his entire career: carefully, faithfully applying the Constitution and legal precedent.

The Senate should confirm him swiftly.

If true, this is sickening! In any event, it points up how badly we need Trump!

Thanks Whenifhow.

I posted this on another thread:

“Following up on swaying Roberts, here’s the gist of it:

Yesterday evening, I heard on FNC that Kagan is trying to give Roberts something to hang his hat on because he likes to “preserve things”!

She asked the government lawyer if some language could be “tweaked” to help the (gov) case

Tweak? Preserve things, aka, unconstitutional EOs?

The commies are playing with language again. They’re trying to frame the argument to become:

The president HAS the constitutional right to deal with immigration.

Rather than:

The president DOESN’T HAVE the constitutional right to ALTER laws passed by congress or MAKE new laws.

Roberts must be struggling with how he would vote with liberals and MAKE THIS SETTLED LAW!

If it’s 5 to 3, I don’t think a president Trump can reverse it. He could cancel 0b0z0’s EO and issue his OWN IMMIGRATION LAWS through a new EO under this ruling, though.

I’m not a lawyer. FReeper lawyers are welcome to help.”

I can’t imagine what they have on Roberts. It must be big - he’s following orders like a good little leftist.

==

THIS.

His adoptive children are Irish born in Ireland, but were adopted thru a latin american country, speculation that rules or laws were circumvented. This was news during his confirmation process. Count Roberts with the libs on all important issues, guaranteed.

Yes, but some Trump people seem to believe the evil Ted Cruz was somehow supposed to be able to “divine” then that Roberts was totally lying about all that, and that in the future, was going to do an about face.

Roberts has become a huge disappointment. Yet, at the time of his confirmation, nobody could predict what he would be like once behind the bench.

Yet the same people who want to hold Cruz responsible for praising Roberts before and during the nomination process are quick to jump to the defense of Trump stating Hillary would make a good president or VP in 2008 when Hillary’s dishonesty was well known.....Lol

Your assumption is that a) he is "one of us" and that b) he has been made to go against us somehow.

What if your first assumption is in error?

As a viewer of the make believe/kayfabed world of professional politics, what do they have to show you or say to you to make you unconsciously swap your skepticism for the trust required to make that first assumption?

Being naturally trusting and naive, I never used to ask myself that question, but now I look for their use of first impressions and other ways to get US to automatically drop our guards in their favor without their target audience being aware.

Brilliant Roberts...brilliant Cruz....brilliant lawyers who are trained to argue either side of an argument - depending on who pays them.

I wish all the Harvard lawyers would go to a remote island where they can impress each other with their brilliant arguments and meanwhile real people with common sense can run the world.

Roberts must have been reminded when Scalia spoke of the obozo when he said, “What can he do to me?”

If that is true, then it won't make a damn bit of difference who wins the Presidential election, because Congress and courts will still not be interested in the good of the nation.

That's right. I believe that what ails this nation is far beyond a political solution. For a while I thought that Trump would be our last shot at one, but I've since disabused myself of even that possibility.

As Americans we hold to the belief that free elections will solve our problems, but as Samuel L. Clemens said, "If voting made any difference, they wouldn't let us do it." Besides, with all the fraud that goes on, (not talking primaries here...that's another story) how "free" are our elections? I mean, look at it. The left wing of the Uni-Party keeps screaming about voter disenfranchisement and the "right" wing of the Uni-Party keeps screaming voter fraud.

We are being played by both.

Questions:
How is crap like this allowed on FR? No Link, no article, no evidence? Where’s the zot?
Why do people post on garbage posts like this, no vanity tag, no article, what the hell gives?
I have plans to give FR and money until crap like this ends and rational minds prevail.
