Jerry Clower. So much fun. Yazoo City. Once upon a time, the Greyhound route from New Orleans north would take you through Hammond, Pontchatoula, and Yazoo City. Those are such wonderful places. They even have a Jerry Clower Highway in Yazoo City.

I can be doing whatever, hard at it, too, in a serious workman-like manner, and for no reason whatsoever, I'll hear in my head: "...poor ol' Highball mighta died thinking that coon killed him."

And then when I lol out loud for no apparent reason, the people around me stop what they're doing and stare and glare. Oh well...some things are easier to explain than others.

I'd like to blame it on the multiple head traumas and such, but that's been a part of my "normal" nearly-normal self since my barefoot boy days back in my ol' Kentucky home when I first heard Jerry Clower.

At least Guitarzan and Cheetah's solo quit playing in my head as much as it used to...still makes me laugh, though.

And so did this trip on the Way Back machine! Thanks! They'll be staring and glaring a lot more now. Lol...
