NOT WELCOME? Dad Takes Daughter to Target to Ask About Bathrooms and Their Story Goes Viral
Red State ^ | 23 Apr, 2016 | Caleb Howe

The question of who is being made to feel comfortable and welcome at Target, and who isn’t, should be one of the top questions in your mind before you choose to spend your money in their stores. This week, a man took his six-yeard to Target to discuss how the bathroom policy works out practically, rather than just find out from blogs or biased cable news stations calling the whole thing a “gay rights” issue, which doesn’t even make sense. His story went viral on Facebook, and already has over 22,000 shares and 44,000 reactions.

Let’s see: A man in a dress has to go SOMEWHERE. He’ll get pounded in a men’s room. He can go in a private stall in a women’s room and(hopefully) not get noticed. Depends on the size of his adams apple.

There aren’t that many of them. My answer: Family changing rooms, which tend to be private, and not all that heavily used.

From a practical perspective, we are probably headed to the point where we will have only individual (one person at a time) bathrooms. I guess I see this as an opportunity for people who put in or design bathrooms, especially if you come up with a good way to divide up already existing multi-person bathrooms at the least cost. It's like this in Europe at a lot of places already, where you pay money to use a private one-person bathroom. You could put Purell-type dispensers in them, and then have a more public shared place outside where you can wash with soap and water.

Depends on the size of his adams apple.

Feet, hands and shoulders as well.

An outhouse in the parking lot is out of the question?

Sounds like a good solution. Suddenly, the whole issue just goes away.

” She said Target has always had a policy of non-discrimination, and that if parents had concerns we could use the family rooms, or Tirzah could come in the men’s washroom with me. “

Why can’t he go in the women’s washroom with her?

” A man in a dress “

Maybe that’s the problem?
How about when someone wants to be a Siamese cat; and demands a human sized litter box for a bathroom?

Yep. The community his/hers style public restroom is decades past it’s expire date. A bank of individual water closets should have been rolled out long ago.

for the sake of only concerns and comfort of an unknown tiny number of others

Actually it is for the comfort and well feeling of a very large portion of the population, the liberals, all of them. Indivieually a few will begin to individually dissent when they come face to face with the ramifications but most will grit their teeth and accept the rapes and molestations that will occur, even of themselves, due to this.

Yes, I’m seeing it in hospitals and other medical facilities already. It has to do with the ADA regs. Just isn’t room for multiple stall bathrooms conforming to ADA regs in many buildings.

All of the Targets I used to go to had “family” bathrooms. The deviants can use those or Target could create an extra bathroom for transvestites. I don’t see any reason why the perverts should be allowed to invade a woman’s or small girl’s privacy. This is only common sense when it comes to the safety and privacy of females.

Tirzah and I went to #Target this morning.

I explained to her on the way how some men think they’re women and wear dresses and makeup and want to use the women’s washrooms instead of the men’s. I asked her what she thought of that. She said, “That’s weird.” And was quiet for abit. Then she said, “If a man walked into the women’s washroom I’d fight him until he got out!”

We kept talking and I explained to her that we should be kind and loving to everyone, because everybody is a person with a heart and feelings. But that you can also disagree with the way they’re acting, and think it’s weird.

So we got to Target and introduced ourselves to the manager. I asked her on a practical level how Target’s policy worked out if my six-year-old daughter walked into the women’s restroom and someone with a biologically male body walked in behind her. She said Target has always had a policy of non-discrimination, and that if parents had concerns we could use the family rooms, or Tirzah could come in the men’s washroom with me. I told her that as a concerned dad, I’m uncomfortable with Target’s decision to allow people with male bodies in the women’s washrooms. And that we think it’s weird. We thanked her and left. I kept the whole conversation really polite and as relaxed as possible.

So here’s what so wrong about this. Target’s recent ‘inclusivity’ announcement concludes by saying “Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. And you’ll always be accepted, respected and welcomed at Target.” Really? Telling me you’re ok with men walking into the bathroom behind my baby girl actually doesn’t make me feel like I belong. It didn’t make her feel like she belonged either, to hear the manager tell us that in person. Basically Target just told us - and millions of concerned parents - that we’re no longer accepted, respected, and welcome in their stores.

My friends, Target has crossed a line, and I believe this is a test case. If you’re a concerned parent I invite you to do three things. 1. Share this story. 2. Then go to your nearest Target and do exactly what we did. 3. Then share your story, and use this hashtag: #byetarget

I’m not angry. I don’t hate. I’m just a dad who love

I agree, however the pro-perversion crowd wants to force us to share a bathroom with a freak. They consider a private rest room to be discriminatory.
