I read the book, “I Heard You Paint Houses.” Very credible for a low-grade criminal. Scorcese is making a movie about it.
What horrible prose. Why wouldn't you just say "91 degrees"? Or "over 90 degrees"?

Several years ago I worked for an International School in Hong Kong that was in a historic building that was used by the Japanese in WW2 as “Police Headquarters” cum detention and torture center. The building had also been associated with the head of one of the “Tongs” from the 1920’s through the early 1980’s. There were rumors that there were several bodies buried in the court yard. I had to have some concrete poured to strengthen a floor in the back of my library. Before they put the linoleum down I took a chop stick and scratched “RIP J. Hoffa 14/2/14 - 15/8/75” I figured in 25 to 30 years when the linoleum was removed someone would see it.
I think I saw a docu on that very house and there was no such evidence found...........

“I Heard You Paint Houses” is a great read. It includes what are reportedly Hoffa’s recollections of the JFK assassination. Hoffa’s contention was that Jack Ruby had been responsible for planting fake cops to kill Oswald, and when they failed to do this Ruby had to take Oswald out himself. It’s the best explanation I’ve ever read of what Ruby did.
Even though he was found holding the gun that matched the ballistics of the bullets dug out of Hoffa’s brain, the head of the FBI didn’t think Sheeran did anything wrong because no sensible prosecutor would indict him.....
It’s not hard to figure out why the mob wanted Hoffa dead: he knew too much about their operations and Hoffa cold have “ratted out” way too many people to law enforcement authorities on the Mob much earlier than in reality. It could have dramatically changed the history of Las Vegas, for starters.
Sheehan has been caught in way too many lies. Most students of the Hoffa murder don’t buy his story(s)
