Back in the old days when they knew how to handle terrorists in prison. Sounds like Dr. Gallagher just traded an English prison cell for a New York mental hospital cell.
Also, bank failures in Ohio, Montana, and Kansas made the front page of the New York paper.
Just bought a New York Tribune newspaper from 1873 describing Haydens commissioned survey of Yellowstone by President Ulysses Grant. Back then, surveyors and explorers were hanged for telling incredulous stories about this fantasy place with yellow and gold cliffs, waterfalls too big to imagine, lakes and rivers, wildlife like never seen before and hot springs that smelled like eggs blowing water high into the air.
Don’t have the paper yet, but can’t wait to read it. One of the items the surveyors were supposed to return home with was a dinasour.
