If anything, this thread is a fascinating insight into the conservative mind.

People say we are not diverse in our viewpoints. They are wrong!

It’s not a great thread until the name calling begins.

Exactly. He was a man playing the part of a woman.

The movie is worth a look, mainly for Kevin Spacey's performance. I wasn't impressed. It would have been much better as a miniseries.

I liked the book a lot. The author, however, does take liberties in the book, as he discloses in the Afterword. From wikipedia:

The book's plot is based on real-life events that occurred in the 1980s and is classified as non-fiction. Because it reads like a novel (and rearranges the sequence of true events in time), it is sometimes referred to as a "non-fiction novel" or "faction", a subgenre popularized by Truman Capote and Norman Mailer. (Booksellers generally feature the title in the "true crime" subsection.)
The author also uses pseudonyms for some of the characters in order to protect their privacy.

“Some are children of Satan. Jesus said so.”

The irony is that Jesus here is referring to the Hypocritical Holy men of his generation who strained a gnat while swallowing a camel. A evil sinner named Chablis helplessly pushed to the ground by a angry mob in a righteous fever. Eager to mete out gods vengeance!

These Hypocrites tried to lay a trap for him with their ‘laws’. Jesus stepped in the middle of it and called them out saying “Who’s here that hasn’t sinned in their lives can cast the first stone!”

We are called to spread the Good News. Healing and light. Not Darkness and judgement. Don’t look to me to cast the first stone. But you go ahead.

That’s the way I see it anyway.

peace out!

Sir, we are called to judge, despite the revisionism of the left. If that is "casting stones," then blame Jesus.

We cannot obey the gospel if we don't judge (make distinctions.)

Oh Don’t try to justify it to me...

Go ahead and cast your stone.

Calling out sin and “casting stones” are not the same thing.
