The ultra-conservative Kansas Republican took to the floor late Tuesday afternoon to force roll call votes on a series of noncontroversial bills being offered up by voice vote... Establishment-aligned outside groups including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Joe Ricketts Ending Spending group poured more than a million into Huelskamps race to defeat him [in his primary]... Around the capitol, one of the big questions staff and lawmakers were debating was whether he would force the IRS impeachment issue later this week.

Tim Huelskamp forces enough votes that the House won’t get to every bill tonight.
You know who’s NOT getting a job at Squire Patton Boggs??”
Good for him paying the Country Club wing of the GOP back for what they did to him!
Ultra conservative......
What we call “Ultra-Conservative” today we used to call “Middle of the Road”, back when the country still believed in distributed power...
He’ll be lucky to end up with a teaching job at Hutch JuCo
Go Tim Go!
That’s how I feel too. And if he forces the impeachment vote that’ll be gravy!
In recess now until 6:30... or whenever?

Huelskamp spox says he moved to force roll call votes on largest # of [rule] suspensions in one day this session and americans deserve better.”
That’s true. Some big undebated bills going through: http://clerk.house.gov/floorsummary/floor.aspx
Uninformed KS voters defeated him in the GOP primary for a left-winger. Too bad he can’t run as an independent in the general.

Heritage puts out statement echoing huelskamp objection to 49 scheduled suspension votes in one day.”
Back from recess...
Absolutely wonderful. You haven’t seen anything yet.Pay back is hell.
Heritage Action statement:
“... Legislation considered under suspension should not make any substantial policy changes or incur significant costs to the taxpayers. Unfortunately, many of the bills on the suspension calendar regularly violate these principles, and this week is no exception; in fact, it is worse than most...”

I’m glad Tim is getting his licks in, the Cheap Labor Express took out a good guy.
That would be redundant.
It is sweet!
Well, Leadership has got 3 of the 8 bills passed under suspension.
Looks like they’ve given up on the others for now.
Huelskamp calling for roll calls on more bills being introduced.
Will check back later.
Funny how much easier it is to get a bill passed if votes aren’t recorded LOL!
I believe his family owns a large farm. Not that he wouldn’t make a great poly-sci teacher to balance all the RATS holding that position.
Hey, I voted for him. The leftist media defeated him. And the conservativism of Marshall, his opponent, remains to be seen
Unfortunately, there were more than a few FReepers cheering on Huelskamp’s defeat by a left-winger (Marshall).
I’d be interested to know how you identify Marshall as a left-winger.
