Carson Wentz Bags ‘Bye Week Buck’

What do NFL quarterbacks do on their bye weeks? If you’re Carson Wentz, you go out and bag yourself a “bye week buck.” If you haven’t been keeping track, Carson Wentz is really good at football, and he’s an avid outdoorsman, too.

Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz is off to an incredible start in his debut NFL season. He has lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 3-0 start and (knock on wood) has yet to throw an interception thus far. He’s a bright, young talent and is making an early bid for the NFL Rookie of the Year.

On many occasions, Carson Wentz has shown if given the time, he will deliver, and that doesn’t just go for football.

The signal caller was out goose hunting when he originally found out he was given the starting job, and now, on the team’s bye week, Carson delivered again. He put himself on the board after arrowing a good-sized 8-pointer — his first bow buck — last week in North Dakota (he played for North Dakota State University), making him 3-0 on the football field and 1 for 1 in the woods. We like those numbers! Carson posted a picture with his “bye week buck” to his Twitter account:

Keep up the good work, Carson!

He reminds me of a young Roger Staubach
. Also said to have a photographic memory.

Nice one! That buck appears to be pretty stout in the body and that will be a nice mount, if he decides to do that.

Pennsylvania resident for all of 90 days and he’s already bagged a buck. Fitting in nicely.

Wish he was playing for the Steelers and not the Eagles.

Here in ND, that's considered a four point buck. It is a nice one.

There has been some great play by rookie QBs so far this season. Dak Prescott has played just as well as Wentz and Paxton Lynch came off the bench for the Broncos Sunday and had a great game. Goff for the Rams on the other hand didn’t look good at all during the preseason.

He actually dropped this buck when he was back in North Dakota during the Eagles’ bye week.

Agree, although Ben might have some issues with it :)

There was an ESPN profile before the draft that referenced his hunting, including the fact his big purchase after he declared for the draft was a nice shotgun (they did not provide any details). I read some fan board comments from the now LA Rams that would make him a bad fit for LA and they should draft Goff instead. No way to know if true, but if so their loss.

Well..............that buck will barely score 125.

I hunt....and the first buck I harvested..was smaller than that. So...I'm not a snob...

Although nowadays...I practice Quality Management...

His buck is probably not 2-3 years old. That's a young buck..................
