Red State ^ | 10/30/2016 | Patterico

Caleb Howe published a comprehensive summary of recent polls this morning, generally showing tightening in the race between Trump and Clinton. Since then, today’s numbers from the ABC/Washington Post tracker have come out, and show a (very small) further movement towards Trump, with the race tightening from a two-point gap yesterday to a one-point gap today — a statistical tie:

It’s movement in the right direction. Gotta move the needle a little more.

The race tightening trend started BEFORE the latest FBI bombshell.

So keep in mind you’re looking at numbers that really more reflect 1-2 weeks ago rather than today.

Why am I so amazed that almost half the people knowingly would vote for a politician without achievement who is corrupt to boot?

The comments at Red State prove that place is read by morons.

“If McMullen can take a state or two.”

Yeah, right like that’s gonna happen.

Does anyone think that maybe the #HillaryWeinerScandal is going to move the needle a little bit?

Why is crap from RedState being posted here at FR? Beyond the headline, the rest of the article and especially the comments are ridiculous.

Me too.

But I asked a young man yesterday about the email and FBI and he hadn’t heard a word about it.

Those are people who are swayed by emotion and are incapable of critical thought.

The Democrat party generally pushes horrific policies and runs everything it touches into the ground, but its politicians and its MSM propaganda body know how to manipulate emotions. That's why the Hillary campaign commercials evoke moods, and do not discuss actual policies. The voters she is targeting thrive on emotional stimulation, and do not realize that Democrat politicians play them like a master harpist plucks harp strings.

Sorry, I was searching for pertinent articles, using a google search.

Excuse me if this one isn’t a good choice.

But we need news as it breaks. More to follow.

Trump certainly has Florida unless the overvoting is truly massive in the southern counties. St Lucie had reported something like 157% of eligible voters voted last time. If that gets upped to 200% in the row of counties from Dade to St Lucie plus Orange then the Democrat might “win” Florida. Depending on how determined the Democrats are, Philadelphia could experience a similar phenomenon. If it reports a 300% vote it will be noted and fingers will be pointed and Rush will be lay it out BUT IT WILL STAND. The same goes for the big Democrat cities in many states. In California where the illegals vote legally, of course, it is a done deal.It ll depends, I think, on whether Hussein/Soros wants Mrs Bill to be President. I am thinking now he may well prefer not.

For that half the people there is a perception of something in it for them. For the liberals there is the idea that they will be in power. For the minorities and for the non actually ruling liberals it is all gimme. The professors expect to gain influence and more money and government jobs. The minorities expect free rent, food, and drugs and to be allowed to express their culture without the annoyance of police. Half or more of women expect the Democrats to be their husband and take care of them and their children. Their own liberty is not important to any of these people except some of the academics who expect they will be running things anyway.

I think the scandal is finally so overwhelming that the needle is moving because of it. If Hussein/Soros still wants Mrs Bill to win this thing then the payoff money to the IT administrators at the voting hub servers will be massive. If they pull that off then those IT guys will mostly have fatal medical problems and accidents over the following 6 months or so and no one will even notice.

Well, Comey does seem to fit that term but he is also not terribly brave which means he can be coerced into doing the right thing, sort of. I think that explains his odd sequence of actions.

It’s not a surge. He was always way ahead.

The pollsters are now beginning to bring their results more in line with reality to salvage their credibility with the sheeple.

On election day they will magically be very close.
