Mark Levin SHREDS pro-Putin, global warming alarmist Rex Tillerson (Pros, Cons??)
Conservative Review ^ | 12-13-2016 | Chris Pandolfo

Posted on 12/14/2016 7:26:01 AM PST by Freemeorkillme

Tuesday evening on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin addressed the announcement that Exxon-Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson is President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of state.

Levin said that the choice of Rex Tillerson ranks among the “worst” of Trump’s Cabinet picks.

Rex Tillerson: Trump’s most disastrous pick – The Conservative Conscience Ep77 Listen:

Tillerson has close ties to members of the ruling class establishment. His nomination was praised by the likes of Condoleezza Rice, Robert Gates, and James Baker — luminaries of the Bush administration and, in the case of Rice and Gates, lobbyists for Exxon-Mobil. Additionally, his close relationship with Vladimir Putin is a major cause for concern.

Fundamentally, Tillerson is the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time. As Levin read from Conservative Review Senior Editor Daniel Horowitz’s piece today:

Trump should have appointed a secretary of State who regards the current State Department with as much disdain as Scott Pruitt regards the EPA. The problem we have at the State Department is not a management crisis. We have a moral and intellectual problem with the State Department that has persisted for decades. It stems from a deep-rooted culture of moral relativism and an “America-last” mindset. As such, we needed a man with a strong ideological rudder who understands the issues, is on the right side of them, and willing to bust up the entire State Department structure and the global foreign policy apparatus.

Mark directed my attention to a few of the cons re: Tillerson nomination. I'll admit, he did deflate my sails a bit. But, I believe deservedly so. I think I allowed myself to enamored by the hype a bit. Lurking were the negatives in the back of my mind and Mr F Lee Levin, with surgeon-like precision, cut through.

I've seen some of the pros. However, I can't escape what lays before my eyes that has me gravely concerned about this appointment. I've noticed praise from every corner. Catching no flak? Not over target.

Without lambasting each other as never Trumpers or Trumpists, can you please post what you think are pros and cons to this nomination.

AUDIO is the MUST LISTEN. I strongly encourage you to reserve comment until you've LISTENED TO THE AUDIO of Mark making the conservative case.

Maybe if he wasn’t hysterical about 90% of Trumps picks I would give him a listen but perpetually angry and this is just more anger. He should create a new party with Elizabeth Warren called the “perpetually angry” party.

Trump doesn't believe in global warming. And Trump is the one who hopefully will be in charge if he beats all these attempts by the media Obama and Hillary and never trumpers to steal the presidency from him with all these “Russian Hacking” lies.

Trump will be president if he beats the media coup and lies and then Trump will say what goes ok?

Levin’s anomosity for Trump certainly surprises me.

And he is not someone whose opinions I would easily dismiss...

The disconnect is disturbing. I would have thought he would be insanely happy and hoping for a newt Reagan admin.

Simple response.

Who should be the pick then Levin?

If you want to play the guilt by associations an accusation game. Tilleson is catching flack form the leftists in the US House and Senate as well the GOP Establishment clowns McCain/Garham.

Why is Levin siding with the Leftist clown posse on Tilleson? Might it be Levin is not really interested in fact and reason but just looking for his next thing to mindlessly bitch at Trump about?

Additionally, his close relationship with Vladimir Putin is a major cause for concern.

Why is this a concern?

Mark Levin is irrelevant and his opinions don’t matter anymore. He is starting to sound like the left. He is still butthurt from losing the election.

I am sure Levin blasted him. Maybe he deserved it, maybe not. The problem is, I no longer trust Levin's judgement when it comes to anything Trump related. He ripped Trump at every turn all through the election until a few weeks before, then "supported" him in a grudging and halfhearted way (i.e. "look, he's not a conservative and populism is a disaster but we can't have Hillary in... yadda yadda yadda"), always with that caveat that Trump's not good but he's not as bad as Hillary.

Then when it was all over, he had the chutzpah to start talking about HE was going to hold Trump's feet to the fire and make demands. I tuned him out most of the time but heard enough. I just don't trust Levin to be objective regarding anything Trump says or does, frankly.

Trump doesn't believe in global warming.

So why does he need to pick a guy who's ideology is diametrically the opposite?

I stopped listening to Levin many moons ago.
His love for the Constitution was trumped by his love for a Cubanadian.

“Check this out: http://www.cnsnews.com/video/levin-if-youre-nationalist-populist-youre-not-constitutionalist";

No president is a constitutionalist all the time. He’s being too academic. Reagan would be saying a lot of the same things as Trump if he were around today. I agree with him on the SOS nominee not being the best person for the job.

Tillerson will be working for Trump (who is working for us).
He doesn’t have to be ideologically pure.
I don’t care if he’s as confused as Hank Rearden.
He has the skills. And Trump thinks he’ll do.
