Foxs choice of conservative stalwart Tucker Carlson to replace trend-bucking news star Megyn Kelly is a telling pick a rightward shift back to what the channels viewers are used to.
When I called up Al Tompkins yesterday at the Poynter Institute, a journalism think tank in Florida, he quipped: Sure is a lot of white guys in the evening, huh?

There may be liberals that are happy, but I have never met one.
Journalism think tank? That's certainly an oxymoron, if I've ever heard one.
Tucker’s good. He will probably mellow slightly over time, but he’s a conservative through and through, and he doesn’t let the left walk over him. That’s a welcome breath of fresh air.
Y'all got BET, we got news.
So Juan Williams should have gotten the 9:00 slot ?
That would drive the numbers...
Off the cliff...
Who said what?
So true.
I thought the Boston Herald was conservative.
Tucker is personable, witty and smart, and his ratings were already higher than megyn’s after only 6 weeks of his new show AND he has a younger demo than many of the other FNC shows, so moving Tucker to megyn’s old slot was a no-brainer.
The editorial page is generally right-of-center but select writers tilt lefty.
Sure is a lot of white guys in the evening, huh?

10 times better anyday than a female skank like Megan. Good riddance to baaaaaaad rubbish!
Wonder if he even watches Fox News.
If the Boston Globe is concerned that means it was a GREAT decision. Go Tucker!
.
Yay! I was hoping Tucker Carlson would be selected. Who says you have to replace a female with another, it should be based on talent. And Carlson has loads of talent compared to the female idiot that was occupying space there.
While the Boston Globe could be concerned, in this instance it is the tabloid competitor the Boston Herald which is generally a more moderate voice.

I have been. reading it for most of my life but have decided to abandon it in February. ( I like their Patriots coverage and this may be Brady's last serious run.)
I like Lou Dobbs on Fox Biz best but T like Tucker also. I like Dobbs’ sense of humor and maturity.

Me bad! :)
