Another day. And the news marches on.
Runs forward almost, into the next drama. A shooting in a Fort Lauderdale airport. Carrie Fisher's ashes carried in a giant Prozac-shaped jar. Trump's 12 days from moving into the White House.
We turn the pages quickly on the stories of life, anxious not to get left behind.
But the real people, people whose lives only fascinated us for an instant, whose stories grabbed us for a moment, good and bad - they are still living their story, their nightmare.

These miscreants need to be executed.
**A whole life centered around making sure your most precious thing would be safe. Always walking roadside beside him, a silent acknowledgement that youll always be ready to take the hit if it will keep your precious child safe.
Knowing you can only keep this up for so long.
And so it turned out for the boy’s mum. Only for so long. Only 18 years.**
Nancy Lanza is not around to respond. [although the circumstances are not the same] ... yet a mother’s desire to protect a child are similar.
If I were the mother I’d be sentenced to life without parole after I were done.
With no remorse.
Amen to that.
Beyond rage. I don’t know if there’s a word for it.

I had only seen snippets of the Facebook video. But I was over at DU where someone posted all 27 minutes. Shocking! Disgusting. It was hard to believe there were 4 people in the world like those 4.
Worse, a significant portion of DU claimed it was a set up ... fake news. It never happened. Thankfully, there were some who ridiculed those who believed it was fake. But there are people out there who just astound me!
Their hatred blinds them to reality.
Prayer is a blessing and we need more, not less, to deal with evil.
Gofundme is up over $117k.
I am sending a chicago bulls item to austin.
Every day I see the race war coming closer and closer. I don’t know if anything, even Trump, can stop it.
I seldom start or engage in “if” scenarios, but I will make an exception here.
I was the father of a special needs daughter(she passed away about 7 years ago).
I can honestly say that “held without bail” is the safest place on this Earth for those thugs. Life in solitary would be the next best smart move.
“If” that had been my daughter that was kidnapped and tortured, it would have been #2 on my list of priorities to remove those four from society in a slow, painful matter. Their parents(who raised them and gave them their respect for others’ lives) would know what happened. Their bodies would never be found.
Years ago, my daughter got hurt at school due to a teacher’s negligence. My wife explained to the principal, “This needs to be taken care of now. You DO NOT want my husband to get involved!
Not if I was on the jury.I would put you in for an award and their are busloads of us out here.
Wow. What an article.
There’s an original Twilight Zone episode that comes to mind.
As the torturer nears his end, the man delivering him his excruciating due says: “This is not hatred, this is retribution. This is not revenge, this is Justice. But this is only the beginning, only the beginning, your final judgement will come from God.”
I’m sorry for your loss.
