Dan Rather, the former CBS anchor who has become a prominent voice against President Donald Trump, is working on a book about patriotism.
Rathers What Unites Us will be published Nov. 7 by Algonquin Books, the publisher told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The book is a collection of essays about topics ranging from civil rights to schools and libraries and what it means to be an American.
Rathers previous works include the memoirs Rather Outspoken and I Remember.

Jeez...I didn’t know that Dan Rather was still alive.
Does he finally reveal the frequency in this book?
This book promises to be fake but accurate.
I am sure that it will be fake but accurate.

Seriously, is he getting help from Brian Williams?
Using forged documents to attack a Republican candidate for president. “Reporters” haven’t changed much in 13 years.
I suggest printing the book using Times New Roman font, then run through a copier a few dozen times, for that authentic, Texas Air National Guard feel.
Who is going to waste their hard earned money on this book?
The publishers, certainly.

Dan “fake but accurate” Rather? He is still around?
I hope it will be as poopular as Chelsea (”I have the most wonderful parents”) Clinton’s upcoming book
To be a patriot, one must believe in nationhood (with all the privileges and restrictions inherent to a nation). Dan Rather believes in none of those things. He’s an open borders globalist like much of his journalistic peers.
[cataclysmic barf]
that’s funny right there.
As much as I think Rather is a liberal zealot and deserves a lot of criticism, I always have thought that, deep down, he is patriotic. I remember him after 9/11. He was emotional and I think his :true feelings showed through — he loved the country. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t done a million bad things before and since then, but he’s done a couple things over the years that make me think that, in his own way, he’s patriotic.
Wasn’t there a movie about his escapades starring Robert Redford. I couldn’t bring myself to watch it since it couldn’t be trusted to be fair and objective (with Redford).
Anyway, it is making the rounds on the movie channels.
