The Full Promised Land of Israel

god-original-land-grant-of-israel-to-abraham by Geoffrey Grider August 17, 2016 The tiny, little fraction of Israel proper that the Jews have at the current moment pales in comparison with how much God says they really have.

“For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” Genesis 13:15 (KJV)

In our day, much is made of the current conflict between Israel and the mythical Palestinians and the seemingly endless battle over who is entitled to how much of the land. People talk about the ownership of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and the ever-popular canard called the Two State Solution. But all of these are straw men that obscure the real issue. Not only does all the land of Israel belong to the Jewish people, but way more than the current allotment belongs to them as well. Jew haters and anti-semites, get ready to have your mind blown

“In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.” Genesis 15:18-21 (KJV)

For those of you who are not geographical scholars, here is the original land grant God gave to Abraham in bullet points:

The upper-right portion of Egypt All of modern-day Israel All of Lebanon All of of Syria A piece of Turkey Half of Iraq The northern half of Jordan A little slice of Saudi Arabia

I have been studying the "Promised Land" lately and thought I would see what discussion it could start on FR.

God bless johnk.

The world would be a much better place if Israel controlled that region.

Question for you - from your studies, how much of that promised area was ever controlled by Israel?

Promised to ‘Abram’, i.e., including Ishmael. The Land of Israel/Jacob is described in Numbers Chapter 34.

Somewhere, in Israel, there is buried a clay jar, sealed with pitch or wax, that contains the deed to the land that Jeremiah bought from his cousin, while Jeremiah was under arrest in the courtyard of the king’s palace in Jerusalem.

God told Jeremiah to buy it, make sure it was witnessed and sealed for some future claim.

It didn’t make sense for Jeremiah to buy this property, since he was under arrest, and the Babylonians were at the gates, but he did what the Lord told him to do.

Now, this deed was buried somewhere, wherever that piece of land was, near some ancient village that was Jeremiah’s hometown.

When it is found, the Islamic world will have a conniption like none they have ever had before..........................

Sadly Abraham did not claim even a fifth of the land promised. Today they only occupy about 5 percent of the Land Promised. Yet they still want to take it from them. If the Bible isn’t good enough as documentation for a land claim I don’t know what is. Makes me sick.

Israel has never controlled all the land promised to them. It will indeed be a glorious day when they control all of the promised land under their King.

Isaac was the child of the promise, not Ishmael. The promise is to the children of Israel through Isaac and Jacob.

How do you explain Numbers 34?

Maybe this will be part of the scenario that precipitates the rise of the “peacemaker” anti-Christ. Of course really the devil incarnate.

This same anti-Christ will defile the then newly built Jewish temple.

This is referred to in the Bible as the The Abomination of Desolation in three places mainly.

Daniel 9:27King James Version (KJV)

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel 11:31King James Version (KJV)

31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Matthew 24:15King James Version (KJV)

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

This is why i started to study this recently. I wanted a better understanding of how we could have allowed the Promised Land to go completely opposite of God’s will.

It makes me furious to see what these God hating monsters are doing to the land promised to His people.

Maybe someday when the scales are lifted from there eyes the Jews will see things more clearly.

Could be part of God’s punishment for not knowing the time of hid first coming. He wrote of it in Daniel yet the Jewish leaders did not understand it.

In Case you want to Know More of this Prophetical Event:

Luke 19:40King James Version (KJV)

40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Predicted in Daniel 9:

The First 69 Weeks (Dan 9:25)

A very specific prediction occurs in verse 25:

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Daniel 9:25

This includes a mathematical prophecy. As we have noted in previous articles, the Jewish (and Babylonian) calendars used a 360-day year;4 69 weeks of 360-day years totals 173,880 days. In effect, Gabriel told Daniel that the interval between the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem until the presentation of the Messiah as King would be 173,880 days.

The “Messiah the Prince” in the King James translation is actually the Meshiach Nagid, “The Messiah the King.” (Nagid is first used of King Saul.)

Bull’s-Eye!

The commandment to restore and build Jerusalem was given by Artaxerxes Longimanus on March 14, 445 B.C.5 (The emphasis in the verse on “the street” and “the wall” was to avoid confusion with other earlier mandates confined to rebuilding the Temple.)

During the ministry of Jesus Christ there were several occasions in which the people attempted to promote Him as king, but He carefully avoided it: “Mine hour is not yet come”.6

The Triumphal Entry

Then, one day, He meticulously arranges it.7 On this particular day he rode into the city of Jerusalem riding on a donkey, deliberately fulfilling a prophecy by Zechariah that the Messiah would present Himself as king in just that way:

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Zechariah 9:9

Whenever we might easily miss the significance of what was going on, the Pharisees come to our rescue. They felt that the overzealous crowd was blaspheming, proclaiming Jesus as the Messiah the King.8 However, Jesus endorsed it!

I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Luke 19:40

This is the only occasion that Jesus presented Himself as King. It occurred on April 6, 32 A.D.9

The Precision of Prophecy

When we examine the period between March 14, 445 B.C. and April 6, 32 A.D., and correct for leap years, we discover that it is 173,880 days exactly, to the very day!

How could Daniel have known this in advance? How could anyone have contrived to have this detailed prediction documented over three centuries in advance? But there’s more.

All of Israel; all twelve tribes; will occupy the whole promised land: from the great river into the Sinai, Amon, Moab and Edom (SA).

HalleluYah!

I love the study of Daniel particularly as it relates to the end times we are currently living in The clock will be starting on Daniels 70th week soon

I believe it will be in Christs millennial reign that Israel will finally possess all the land God granted them In fact that is one of the reasons (coming from an amillenial background) I was persuaded that there will be a literal millenial reign.

I think Chapter 33:54-55 helps explain 34 a little better:

Now in verse Numbers 34:55 the Lord warns them,

But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that these which you let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land where you’re dwelling. Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them. (Num 33:54-55)

In other words, these people will drag you down and ultimately I will have to destroy you out of the land, even as I destroyed them out of the land.

Sin always has a polluting influence.

I also started to get into this aspect of it:

I like what Chuck Smith said concerning Deu 11:22-24

For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments [verse twenty-two] that I command you, and to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, to cleave to him; Then will the LORD drive out all the nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, to the river Euphrates, even to the uttermost sea shall your coast be (Deu 11:22-24).

Chuck Smith Commentary:
Actually, they never did conquer all that God had given to them. They never did possess all that was theirs by God’s divine decree. I think that there’s an unfortunate parallel in our life. I don’t think that we ever possess all that God has for us or all that God would do for us. It’s there, all we have to do by faith is go in and claim it and take it and yet all of us come short of the glory of God: that which God would do for us if we would just step in and take.

It’s tragic that when the borders were so expanded by God and all you have to do is possess it that they failed to possess all that God had given, even as it’s tragic that we so often fail to possess all that God has given.

Now many times that we fail to possess for different reasons: intellectual limitations, restrictions that we have placed upon God by our presuppositions. So many reasons why we fail to enter into the fullness that God has for our lives.

From my experience I find this to be true. God wants the very best for us, but because of disobedience, laziness or sin we fall short of the mark. Then we lose some of our inheritance.

I agree with this also.

It will magnificent to see this sick world, ruled and reigned by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Then it mentions the believers will rule underneath His authority during the millennial times.

So you concede there is a difference between the land inside the Numbers 34 borders versus the land inside the Genesis 15 borders? What is the nature of the difference?
