really. well, that changes things for me personally. significantly.
I did not realize Hindus were scum sucking dirt bags.
Christians are live and let live. Time to rethink that.
Hinduism may be too old to be expressly of the spirit of antichrist (as Islam is) but we should not forget that it represents a much older rejection of the knowledge of God. So while it can be “better” than Islam, it certainly isn’t a program for endless war to its core, it isn’t righteous.
It would be a mistake to think that in terms of simple worldly morality that they are “scum sucking dirtbags”.
That is the an opposing error to that brand of thought that thinks that “good people” go Heaven.
Humanity doesn’t necessarily have a morality, though many sure do, but a holiness problem.
With Hindus in India (relative to Christians) I see two main issues besides their civil laws against converting from your previous religion.
Firstly they share susceptability to the problems that all people who reject the Gospel may have.
But in addition to that Hinduism reinforces the caste system, and even though their laws may pretend to be egalitarian that system remains. So in addition to the whole you’re saved so now our spiritual bosses don’t want us to like you anymore thing there is the cultural aspect of the lower castes not keeping to their proper place if they leave Hinduism.
Btw, back to their civil laws: I wouldn’t be surprised one jot if nobody ever hassled those “leaving the Christian faith” the way they obviously take umbrage against someone leaving Hinduism.
Indians might not feel that way. Christians went halfway around the world, conquered and ruled them for a couple hundred years. But other than that...
You should see what one Hindu will do to another.. the class system there produces immense suffering that is not sexy enough to be reported on. It also may have some regional variance with the border area near Pak being a whole different ballgame.
