Hyundai thinks this is funny.
2017 Hyundai Ioniq Commercial Hybrid Song
I don't. They would never create a commercial making a joke of a man hitting and hurting a woman, and everyone knows why. So why don't those same reasons apply here?
Flame me for being too sensitive if you want, but I'm sick of this. If Hyundai wants me to consider buying one of their cars, and I would consider buying one domestically produced, then apologize for this.
Orangehoof thinks naming a company that sounds vaguely like someone puking is funny....
Although it’s a bit of a shock to see her kick him in the groin—I think he is a self defense trainer all covered in protective gear, including the groin. So it would be appropriate training for the woman to practice this kick.
Tried to be funny, yes...but I could only stand 20 seconds of it.
totally agree, it’s bs. I’m female and do NOT find attacking men in any way, a joke.
So many Ads try to demasculinize men while over empowering women and it’s very disturbing. The Libs at it again. I don’t want our men to be like Swedish guys are these days, wimps. A little further on in this Ad, a woman takes a swipe at the back of a man’s head. More of the same. No girly men for me, thank you.
A continual theme throughout all media.
Me laffing velly much!
“Idiocracy” gets closer every day.
Looks to me like Hyundai understands that driving one of their cars is in itself emasculating and they are trying a psychological ploy counter that.
I apologize if my stab at humor is counter to the stated theme of your thread. It has been my experience, as a guy, most men have an odd approach to this. It is funny as long as it doesn't happen to you, and when it does happen to you, there has to be a passage of time before you can fully find the humor of it.
But I will say that, in my experience, men don't find the concept of being kicked in the privates by women funny at any time.
After all, if a man slugs a woman, is that ever funny?
The new and improved liberal hate targets - men and especially white men.
Let's hear it for Moldylocks!
Perhaps Hyundai is trying to grab market share from Subaru in the coveted lesbian market.
Maybe they should juxtapose a rerun of the bar surveillance camera of Mixon in the bar and see how funny most people think that is.
Lighten up Francis.
Real men can take a punch. Line.
Then why did he yell, and double over in pain?
Well, a tittie twister would be going too far
At least they didn’t name it KIA in a country where we fought a war.
Leaving aside the nutcracker part it’s a stupid lame commercial. I wonder what Ad agency came up with this failure?Refund would be in order.
