Winnie the Pooh has been censored on Chinese social media.

People who comment on the site Weibo with "Little Bear Winnie" - Pooh's Chinese name - are given an error message, while GIFs of the character have been removed from the app WeChat.

No official reason has been given, but the bear has frequently been compared to the country's president, Xi Jinping.

Those people are so lucky to have a government that protects them from the evils of cartoon bears. Now I understand why liberals and RINOs admire big all powerful governments. Too bad Hillary didn’t win so we too could have been protected by the evils of these cartoon bears.

Yeah, I remember back in the Soviet era Mickey Mouse was banned because he “glorified rodents”.

If you want a real laugh see if you can find the book “How To Read Donald Duck”. If it was not for the fact that these people have missiles this would be roll on the floor funny.

Yes but now China is doing exactly that, yet we have sent millions of jobs, from America and made them Chinese jobs.

Apple, and every computer company, have basically all exported manufacturing there.

Basically everything you buy now, is imported from China.

Entire industries have been offshored. Many to China.

Yet the country, with four times America’s population, is still censoring Winnie the Pooh, and gobbling up ever more global production.

Our focus is off, it seems to me.

I prefer the original E. H. Shepard illustrations of Pooh instead of the Disneyfied Pooh. The originals are less cartoonish and instead have the natural look that can only come from a hand-drawn illustration; and before the days of Photoshop and computers, all illustrations had to be drawn at-scale to fit the book. The illustrations were simple, but charming.

I bet China has made millions (maybe billions) manufacturing and selling Pooh merchandise to the USA. I don’t know where Disney gets their merchandise, but I assume that most of it comes from China.

Wouldn't it make more sense to compare the Pooh Bear to a panda?

"Entire industries have been offshored. Many to China."

And who remembers how sneakily and surreptitiously this was done?
During the late 80's, & 90's and 2000's when all of the
layoffs were occurring (and still are) in IT and manufacturing,
the American public was told it was because the
"economy was contracting" or the "tax rates were wrong"
or the educational system wasn't producing enough trained workers."
Blah, blah, blah.

Meanwhile both the Dems and the Republicans were collecting
their payoffs and exacerbating the problem by opening the borders and flooding the country with illegals and H1B "workers."
Both parties are nothing but damn liars and traitors to the American People.
Never trust any of them - no matter how "conservative" they sound.
