It was one small step for security technology, but one giant leap in the wrong direction for robotkind.
A security robot in Washington, D.C. — lovingly named Steve — plunged down four steps into a fountain Monday.
Photos show the sad, waterlogged robot cop partially submerged in defeat. It’s unclear if any foul play was involved or if Steve simply rolled down a dark path on his own.

Maybe he was transgendered and wanted to be a submarine.

My guess is drunken humans pushed that robot into the drink. Sort of like an urban form of cow-tipping.

You should have heard those Italians scream, though, when I peed in their fountain.
It was like nobody ever peed in Italy.

Somebody threw a quarter in the fountain and asked him to retrieve it.

I took a security job in 2011 at a place which had a REAL problem in the outside show lot with people stealing from RV’s. I invested in a drone with a camera. It was like a video game. It showed me people coming from adjoining property and I would remotely bring that thing down on them (they all looked up, thus getting them on camera) and I’d dive bomb them, sending them scurrying. Solved the problem and I’d drink coffee all night.

Now there’s a recipe for a disaster.
My cousin David brought a drone to the family reunion.
DDUI.
Drone Driving Under the Influence.
Judge made up a new law.
David thought it would be fun to use a drone to deliver a beer to our cousin Mike who was in the county slammer for fighting with the police.
The police took a dim view of David’s Delivery Service.
That was two cousins in the slammer and it was only Friday night.
Was Hitlery around? He probably committed suicide!
